A: To lock the BE365 from the outside, simply press the "Schlage" button and rotate the toggle. To unlock, enter a 4-digit user code and rotate the toggle. If the lock is exhibiting these features backwards, or not at all, the lock may be installed incorrectly or possibly defective. If you have any other questions or require any further assistance, please call us at 888-805-9837 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
A: Make sure the oval cam is at 12 oclock when you put the 2 halves together. Otherwise it won’t work as designed
A: With mine I have to enter a code to make the keyturn work. You have to quickly turn it to lock it or it times out. My previous lock let you just press the lit Schlage button and then turn the keyturn without putting a code in. You might have to return yours for a replacement.
A: I think you are having a problem internal to the lock with the device that alternately engages the outside handle (when you enter the code) or disengages the outside handle (after the code times out). Both reflect stickiness with the part that engages and disengages. I have the same problem. There are YouTube videos on how to tear down the lock and clean it.
A: The only difference is the shape of keypad exterior cover. otherwise they both have the same quality and features.
A: They are the same except for the faceplate. In other words style. The Schlage Camelot and the Schlage Plymouth are nearly identical deadbolts. Both deadbolts have a six-digit programming code, two four-digit pre-programmed access codes, 19 programmable access codes, and both are meant for residential or light commercial settings.
A: How about how far it sticks out, horizontally, from the vertical plane of the door
A: Projection means how thick it is. If there might be a tight space between your storm door and the entry door. Maybe a handle or a door closer (I doubt a handle would be that high) might be in the way.
A: Most likely that at night when you can't see well you can push the Schrade button and it makes all the buttons light up blue so they are easy to see
A: 5 1/4 x 2 3/4.
A: The interior and exterior dimensions of a BE365 is 5-1/2" in height, 3-1/4" in width, and 2-1/4" in depth. If you have any other questions or require any further assistance, please reach out to Customer Care at 888-805-9837.
A: The dimensions are: Faceplate Depth (in.) 0.5 Faceplate Height (in.) 1.0 Faceplate width (in.) 2.3
A: Remember if you have a window next to the dead bolt it makes it virtually useless. A thief can break the glass reach inside and turn the knob and unlock the deadbolt and then reach down and unlock the door knob. For security never buy an entry door with glass in it by the door/dead bolt knobs unless you want to put ugly bars small enough so a hand cant reach in. But they do make wire cutters. Buy a SOLID wood or Bi-metal door. NO GLASS BY THE KNOBS.
A: We installed ours where the old deadbolt was it worked fine.
