About This Product
The Kerdi-Board-Kit contains the components needed to waterproof the walls for tile applications around a bathtub or acrylic shower base. The 1/2 in. thick Kerdi-Board panels are applied directly to the stud framing eliminating the need for gypsum or cement board. The kit includes Kerdi-Board panels, Kerdi waterproofing band, pipe seal, mixing valve seal, screws and washers, and Kerdi-Fix sealant.

The thin set is not included with the KBKIT. You can use the Schluter ALL-SET thin set, or you are able to use other thin set options. How many pieces of 32x48 come in this package. Description says 8 1/2” x32x48 ?
8 KERDI-BOARD waterproof building panels covering 101 ft². The KERDI-BOARD-KIT provides enough KERDI-BOARD to cover up to 101 ft² (9.4 m²) of wall area. For example, in installations with standard 8 ft. ceilings, the panels included will cover 12 linear feet (3.6 m).
can I buy just the 1/2' x48' x 38' Kerdi wall panels individually instead of the full kit

I am planning on installing a microcement walk-in shower for 104 sf shower that previously had tile installed. We have removed all of the drywall and want to use the Kerdi system. Will this work on the kerdi board?

I am re-tiling an alcove tub/ shower. The back wall has a very large glass block window, so I have calculated that I only need 6 of the 48 x 38" boards. Can I buy a kit with only 6 boards?
The KBKIT comes with QTY-8 building panels (each ½”X48”X38” total of 101 SQFT). We are not able to customize this kit.
I am planning grab bars in the shower. The bars will anchor through the tile, through the kerdiboard and into studs. Will the Kerdiboard fully support the grab bars and tile or will the grab bars cause the kerdiboard to compress and crack the tile?

Can you tell me if the Schluter Kerdi board kit for the shower walls is Approved by the 2022 California Plumbing Code as a substrate for tile walls in a shower. Im only asking for the wall kit since I am using an acrylic shower pan.
