NIGHTMARE to get tape off roll
Three ibuprofens and hour later, still struggling to figure out how to release beginning of tape roll so I could start using it. There was no tab to pull on end of tape to get it started. There were no directions on package, either. Finally put roll under bright light and examined. There is an INVISABLE perforation that needs to be broken and tape then released. There was no way to know this on the package.

Plastic tensioner exploded on first use
Plastic tensioner is brittle and not made for the pressure required to to tape up 8 boxes. Failed on 9th box.

The Most Horribly Designed Product
For lack of better words, this item SUCKS. They say to twist your wrist to get the tape to break away…. Nope doesn’t work. I ended up throwing it and breaking it. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. I don’t know how this was passed to put on shelves. Highly disappointed.

sturdy and dispense easily
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used it on a medium sized box with about a 5lb load. I like the convenient dispenser, glides on easily. The tape is wide enough and holds well. The box was sent from Maryland to Florida via USPS and was received in good condition. Happy with the quality.

Decent, heavy duty

Strong And Easy To Use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free sample of 3M Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape and used this product to seal a package to mail. The tape is wonderful! It dispensed very easily and smoothly. This tape is strong enough to tape cartons of books with just one strip! The adhesive on the tape really holds. The other thing I like about this tape is that it is clear so it can easily be used over labels without fear of covering important shipping information. The amount and length could be a little longer but it’s enough. The tear teeth are sharp and make it easy to get any size piece you need.

Definitely heavy duty
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape is super grippy. It is easy to tear from the roll. I used this to reinforce a cardboard box filled with heavy books for shipping. This is definitely universal on any surface. Very easy to handle.

Much stronger and easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I volunteer to evaluate products for 3M, and the company recently sent me a free sample of Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape. I have used it on several different boxes, one which had a heavy item inside and was shipping via a shipping company. I was very happy with how the tape went onto the package and how heavy the tape felt compared to my normal packaging tape. It was much more sturdy and adhered much better. The dispenser is very easy to use and it allows for a smooth cut when using the tape. Very happy and pleased with this heavy duty tape.

Many varired uses!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Scotch Brand Heavy Duty Shopping/Packing Tape with a Dispenser free to evaluate, and I can say I was not disappointed with the product! We use lots of packing tape when storing items in boxes in our storage units, and we have used this tape often. The tape is strong, and keeps sticking even when exposed to extreme temperatures. The tape can be written on for easy identification of boxes. The smaller dispenser is much more convenient to use than the large handled device we were using previously. I also use the tape to secure the labels on my bottles of homemade extracts to ensure the remain readable!
