Hinge broke, used door less than 10 times.
We have lived in our new house for 3 months. The builder supplied these hinges. The door is to a back, screened in porch. We usually access this door from the house, so this door has been opened, at most, 8 times. One of the hinges broke today, and it looks like another is cracking.

    Not in direct sunlight!
After installing this hinge set on the vinyl screen door, also sold by HD, this lasted about 14 months! The hinges one-by-one started cracking, outer hardware covers cracked and fell off, then last weekend we went to open to door to go in and the hinges finally gave up and the door literally fell off! Granted this is the Deep South and it is in direct sunlight… but just over a year!?! Garbage!

Do not buy these. Plastic junk. Broke immediately. Get yourself some standard white METAL screen door hinges for half the price. Wish I listened to the other reviewers.

        Would never recommend!
Concept was great but they are basically way to cheaply built. Bought two packs of three each for two doors. Two broke within a couple of days. I contacted the company on their website and just asked for replacement. Of course, no response. I even considered spending another $25 to get a couple more. Glad I didn’t. Wasting $50 was enough. Since then, out of nowhere, another one broke. Enough! I just went and bought metal hinges today and will throw all those away. Wish I had read the reviews!

Weak Hinges - Not so strong in high winds.
I left my porch screen door cracked for my cat to come and go just to have a high wind advisory night that I forgot to latch rip it off all three hinges. I thought the screws were gonna be stripped out of the wood, but no the plastic hinges just snapped in 2. Maybe it is better this way as to perserve the wood having break away hinges, but I sure would hate to hang something on em.

            Shattered hinge
Hinges lasted approximately 2 weeks before shattering at the door frame. However, they look nice, but that's the only good thing that can be said. They are just too costly to use and replace after such a short time.

              Work, but constantly break
In concept and function, these hinges work. HOWEVER, through NORMAL USE, they constantly break where the plastic flange meets the hinge. This is the 3rd set I've replaced in a year. I'm done with these and moving to a metal hinge.

                Junk
These where installed by our builder two years ago. They have been loud and creaky from day one. The slightest wind make it difficult to close the door. With temperatures in the low 30s this week it was inevitable that I join the broken, junk, plastic hinges club. Searching for stronger hinges and a nice door closer.

We are very happy with the screen tight heavy duty door hinges and closer. It looks so nice on my white vinyl Victorian screen door by Dakota. They were a perfect match to it. I would recommend them for anyone. The best thing is how adjustable they are as our porch is a little crooked. It made it easier than regular hinges. It’s a great buy.

not heavy duty - light winds push the door open
con: light wind (see photo) keeping door open. Multiple attempts at tightening and still not able to close tightening not as simple as described Pro: hinges look ok and are able to hold door relatively easy to install
