A: Insertion depth will depend on the size of the fitting.
•3/4″ Pipe Insertion Depth = 1-1/8″
So, measure the Tee from end to end and reduce the measurement by 2-1/4". That should be your cut out size. If you have further questions, contact Customer Service M-F, 8am-5pm at (877) 700-4242.

Q:How does installation as a reusable device differ from installation as a permanent device?

Answer This Question
A: Installation is the same for reusable or permanent connection. SharkBite fittings can be used for a temporary solution or permanent solution. The most common use of a temporary reusable connection is for remodeling. Most contractors/DIYers will use an end stop to cap off the lines in the area being remodeled to prevent having to shut off the supply to other areas of the structure. When the renovations are complete, the end caps are taken off and are ready for the next job (making them reusable)

Spot on
Bought this from Supply House to install in my new Heatmaster outdoor wood furnace to verify the furnace aquastat. Always love Sharkbite fittings and had the separate pieces in a cart when I found this already together. Please to see there is only 1-2 degree difference, loss, in the 130 feet from my wood furnace and my geothermal plenum.

Very Impressive!
I installed this temperature gauge and push-to-connect tee on my solar water heater. After a full day in the sun I could not believe how the gauge and tee held up to this temperature with no leaks! Take a look at the picture and see! Home Depot is awesome with lightning fast delivery and service. You can't go wrong with Home Depot!

THERMOMETER FILLED WITH WATER
I installed 3 thermometers in a residential solar hot water system. All three thermometers filled with water and obviously are unreadable.
