May work for other materials, but although advertised for use on metal, and abrasion resistant, it easily scraped of clean aluminum with a fingernail. Newell Rubbermaid's Consumer Affairs gets no stars....Guarantee on package specifies a mailing address (Butterfield Road, Oak Brook IL) for refund. Shipped it to Newell Rubbermaid, but was returned 6 days later from post office --"Unable to Forward". Sent an email to Newel Rubbermaid, and they responded that they would refund purchase price, but not shipping, even though the admitted that return address on packaging was old/incorrect. Buy a Nissen marker instead.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Explosive no charge You get one of these because you need very permeant marks not very permanent mistakes. The felt tip falls out and dumps paint everywhere. Do not buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it for Glass crafts Unlike the other reviewer, I had no problem with the tip falling out. It works wonderfully for drawing on glass. I have tried another brand, and I was not near as happy with it. I will definitely be buying more of these!!

This did happen to me but there was no damage as the tip had not yet absorbed any paint. This marks just fine on pink styrofoam and the metallicized foil on 4x8 sheets of foam insulation, too.
