The shades are excellent, they do exactly what they are supposed to do, any gaps you see are due to operators error.

I wish I had ordered more. These are so versatile. They come with Velcro strips so you can easily put up or take down. They also come with a more permanent adhesive. I really wish I had these in the summer. The silver side reflects light so it will keep my house cooler and save on my electric bill. These are must have for people that work overnight. It completely blocked the light.

The idea behind the shade is great. It has a flat color on one side with a reflective color on the other side. The shade didn’t come with any directions, but should be fairly easy to install. The shade came with velcro or clear stick options. I chose to try and use the clear stick circles, but they were extremely hard to peal off. I ended up going with a different solution, as the shad was only able to cover a majority of the bottom with a little light coming above the top.

I work in Radiology and often read images from home, so having the option to temporarily darken my room is essential to prevent the images on the screen from getting washed out. I got this product to darken my office, but before installing it there, I tested it on my front picture window. The only reason I took off one star is due to the lack of instructions and documentation. What I'm sharing here is just based on what I figured out on my own. I bought the largest size, knowing I would trim it to fit. There's a measuring tape included, which I assume is meant to help with that. While it's a nice bonus, I'll just hang the fabric and then use a scalpel to trim the excess myself. It comes with two mounting options: Hook and Loop fasteners and circular double-sided stickers. The stickers are clear once applied, but they aren’t great for repeated removal and reapplication, unlike the Hook and Loop fasteners. However, if you want to hang the shade semi-permanently, the clear dots will work fine. You can also use them to prevent any drooping from untrimmed excess fabric. I was concerned the stickers might leave adhesive residue on the window, but they were very gentle and didn’t cause any issues. I’d even say they’d be safe on painted trim, coming off easily without damaging the paint—a big plus if you’re in a rental and need to leave the place in its original condition to get your security deposit back. Overall, if you’re looking for a quick or temporary room-darkening solution, this product definitely gets the job done. This is a black plastic that blocks most light. In direct sun it still lets some through. The grommets around the edges are nice, but unless you put a plastic suction cup behind each one, they let light through. Comes with suction cups that have the metal things used to hold keys for attachment. While easy to put up, I had to moisten each suction cup, or they came down. I am planning using some different hooks, so I took a star off for that. Also, there were some small holds around a number of the folds from shipping. Not big, but I did take another star off.

This is an excellent way to blackout a window! Everything was included so the installation was simple.

Not as great as thought

The installation instructions are on the photos of the description. I think 3rd slide. People are taking off stars for lack of instructions but they are right there when you order.
