About This Product
Shelter Type 2 Stove Boards are an essential wood burning accessory which provide non-combustible thermal and ember protection for floors and walls. Our Type 2 Stove Boards protect homes from the intense heat, hot coals, ashes and soot that wood heating appliances produce. These UL Listed, non-combustible Type 2 stove boards can be used beneath wood appliances or mounted on the wall behind them. Manufactured with 1/2 in. Thick emboss-printed steel, these stove boards are backed with a specially formulated fiber board ensuring their UL listing. The Shelter Connector Kit (ULCK) and Wall Spacer Kit (ULSK) are available for use when connecting multiple stove boards together or installing the stove board as a wall shield. and backed by Shelter's Satisfaction Guaranteed/1-Year Limited Warranty.

Can this be cut in half length wise so we only have to install one and a half on each wall behind the stove. The height at that point would be code.
we do not suggest cutting the stoveboard. The construction is embossed printed steel and 1/2" thick, specially formulated fiber board backing, which is hard to cut.
Can is product be used on the wall for fire protection from the stove woodstove
Absolutely! when you order the stove boards be sure and order the wall ULSK Wall Spacer Kit which allows you to safely attach the boards to the wall and the ULCK Connector Kit.
