This Shepherd 18-1/4-28 in. Aluminum Steel Appliance Rollers (8-Pack) feature nonslip pads to help keep appliances from slipping off when moving. The rollers extend from 18-1/4 in. to 28 in. and includes a pack of 8. A perfect soluton to moving heavy appliances.
1/2 in. W x 1-1/8 in. Dia hard white PP wheels are mounted to adjustable length aluminum platform to support and add mobility to heavy refrigerators and appliances (1 set = 2 pack)
Low profile rollers should be placed on the exterior of appliances to aid in mobility and add 1-3/8 in. to the overall height
2000 lbs. load capacity per set (of 2) spreads the load across 32 independent wheels
Adjustable length from 18-1/2 in. to 27-3/4 in. with integrated length-locking wingnut
Great choice when heavy appliances need to be mobile for cleaning or installation and not recommended for laundry equipment or on hardwood or cushioned vinyl floors
Q:I have to move my refrigerator out for a kitchen remodel to another area of the house. Are these wheels safe to roll on laminate?

Answer This Question
A: It is fine for the floor if your fridge is not supper heavy, but it is not a good option, as it only allow you to move straight forward and back. You’d better find a dolly with rubber wheels.

A:Â To the best of my knowledge I believe so. I have hard tile so I did not have this concern.

A:Â I really cannot answer this question. I used the wheels on the bottom of a large shoe storage box I made to go under a bed. I needed something smaller than casters. My storage box rolls on a rug back and forth under a bed and doesn't carry much weight.

A:Â I don't know how safe they would be on laminate floors. I used them in the garage for an upright freezer

A: The overall frame is aluminum with some steel for axles and fasteners. The wheels are a hard plastic which seem to be non-marring provided you don’t scratch them up on concrete. Mine are used for a 400 pound fridge in my garage that needs to roll out occasionally, so far so good.

A:Â It is not metal, but feels like nylon.

A:Â Sort of a hard plastic/rubber. We used them on tile floors. All went well.

A:Â I can only guess that it is to prevent indentation from the rollers.

A:Â Thank you for your inquiry. I am from the manufacturer. This is not recommended for hardwood flooring because of the hard plastic plastic materials that the wheel/rollers are made of could potentially scratch the floor. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us at customerservice@shepherdhardware.com and a Product Specialist will be glad to assist.

A:Â Unsure, but we used them to move a stacking washer and dryer as we did not want to take them apart. Worked perfectly! They definitely would be fine on hardwood floors(as long as your load is not too heavy) as the rollers are sturdy and wide.

A:Â The metal wheels are small and would easily dent the floors with all the weight of the appliance. I use these in the garage for a freezer without issue.

Other than having to tilt the appliance, the rollers are VERY easy to install and make cleaning around the appliance so much easier. I have a long haired dog and there is always hair under and behind everything.
I have rollers under the washer, dryer, and freezer. I am now going to order another set for the fridge. The washing machine and dryer people from the appliance store said I should not use them. In fact the installer is not allowed to put the appliance on them. I have been using them for over a month and there is no problem of either machine rocking or rolling on their own.
The real reason I wanted them installed was to simplify the cleaning of the dryer lint duct work. It had been 10 years since it was cleaned and was causing a problem - thus the new machines. Cleaning the duct work is something that dryer manufacturers recommend annually. To pull out the dryer, you must first pull out the washer. I'm a senior and doing that by myself was impossible. Hence, the phenomenal lint buildup restricting the air flow and over heating. Now I can handle the job by myself.

I made the purchase 2017 because I like to keep my refrigerator clean with as much air flow as possible and the Shepherd aluminum steel appliance rollers are exactly what I needed to do just that. My fridge is 20 years old and by lifting it off the floor it had helped the performance. I only wish I had found them 20 years ago and maybe I could have had my fridge for another 5 years but with power surges over the years it is at it's end. But with my new fridge I'm am prepared with the tools I need to make the next one last a bit longer.

Just what I needed
Easy to assemble and durable. Just what I needed to move my old refrigerator instead of dragging it side to side to move it. Comes in a 2 pack and all you need to do after you take it out of the box is to extend the rollers to the proper length of your item and tighten the screw. Place them under the item and you have mobility. Sturdy and durable enough to handle heavy items.

simple, sturdy
I bought and used these adjustable rollers for a heavy lateral file, not a refrigerator. They are light weight and easily adjustable. They are small enough to be relatively inconspicuous, large enough to work on most carpeted surfaces. Caution: the 'load' needs to be on the rollers, not in the 'beam' portion; works best under an object with 'feet'.

I needed to move my refrigerator so I could access a water drain line and couldn’t nudge it. I bought these and they made it so easy for me to move.
