The Shepherd 4 in. Rubber Caster Kit allows you to replace or provide a new set of wheels for a push cart, hand truck, job box, and more. This Caster Set also fits the RIDGID On Site Construction Boxes. The rubber caster kit includes 2 rigid casters, 2 swivel casters for maneuverability and 16 self-threading bolts for easy installation.
- 4 in. diameter black hard rubber wheels with plate mount - 2 rigid and 2 with ball bearing swivel action for controlled maneuverability
- 4 in. x 4-1/2 in. plate
- 265-lb load capacity per caster = 1,060-lbs capacity for the set

I would have gave it five stars, but it doesn't come with nuts and washers. I had to make another trip back to Home Depot and have the bolts fitted for locknuts.... EVERBILT 141-879. Only 15 in a pack, you'll have to buy a loose one.

I bought the job box but it didn't come with casters. Quickly I found that moving the job box within my shop this was going to be important. I went to Home Depot (HD) and searched all of their casters in-stock but NONE of them had the 4" x 4" foot print, meaning I would have to drill holes. The store sales person came to my aid and looked the box up on the computer system and found this kit with the exact casters and hardware... It was nearly 50 bucks, but I said lets get'em. Well, it took nearly two weeks before they came in. I picked them up at the store and went straight home to install them. Well... that's where the problem started. The correct foot print, but the holes are slotted on the box and they are slotted on the casters... If you look at the picture of the kit... you can see these are self tapping screws... So I either have to drill holes in my box or go BACK to HD to get the proper hardware. I spent another 10$ on nuts, bolts and washers... The hardware kit is completely useless... the only reason I ordered the kit.... So my recommendation, is just pick up the casters at your local hardware and

A previous reviewer posted "Nowhere is it implied that this is specific for the Rigid/Klein toolboxes" The kit I bought specifically stated the kit would fit all RIGID On-Site storage chests (see picture). However, like some other reviewers stated, I had to make a second trip to purchase nuts and washers. Overall, they appear to be well made and should do the job, just beware and buy 16 5/16" nuts and washers when you pick up this kit.

I just think maybe it should have come with some...
I just think maybe it should have come with some plate washers because with the application they are advertised for the lock washers and nuts were too small for the pre drilled holes
