Answer This Question

A:  The 9-inch or 11-inch bungees are probably better. The 6-inch bungees will be too tight.

by|Apr 13, 2022

A:  The 6 Might Be Too Tight , Besides That When Too Tight And Those Suckers Let Go U Know It When It Hits You. So By Going With The 9" U Can Always Wrap It Around Twice

    by|Apr 8, 2022

A:  If I understand the question, each side of a 4x4 is approximately 3 1/2 inches times 4 would be 14 inches, so I would use 2 , 6 inch or one 12 inch.

A:  Sigman 9 in. Tarp Ball Bungee expands to about 18 - 19" approximately.

        by|Sep 17, 2018

A:  flat out 8-10 inches...useful length divided by 2 = 4-5 inch stretched / if its a concern, suggest purchasing the next larger size

          by|Sep 8, 2018

            A:  twice their length.

            by|Sep 11, 2018

A:  I experimented and looped one around a stable screwdriver and stretched it to 16" And that was pulling it to the max.

              by|Sep 10, 2018

A:  We bought them a year ago. As they stay out in the weather, they do stretch out and I would replace them. The 9 in. ones will probably stretch out a couple more inches when you start. I liked how they give you extra so when they do wear out you don't have to buy more right away.

                by|Sep 8, 2018

A:  Richard, I really cannot answer your question as to the length they will strech to and having used it to help a friend I do not have it handy. What I can say is that they did an awesome job in securing the tarp to the frame and installation and removal was a breeze

                  by|Aug 11, 2020

                    A:  to about 12" - maybe a little longer

                    by|Nov 6, 2019

A:  This unit measures 20 inches long (approx) when fully stretched.

                    by|Sep 7, 2018

                      A:  about double in length

                      by|Sep 10, 2018

A:  They stretch about double. I don't use them for applications where there is wind, because a regular rope would do just as well and be stronger. However, if you are using them to anchor a tarp to a frame, this would be an ideal situation.

A:  Great Question. No, these are not adjustable. You will need to order the specific size needed for your application. They come in 6", 9" and 11" sizes and can sometimes be attached together.

A:  I was able to take up excess slack in my cords by threading the bungee thru the tarpaulin islet and then around the pole and then back through itself and then place the open end around the ball. Also, I suppose one could thread the cord thru the islet, tie a knot/knots in it where needed and then slip the open end over the ball. This would also take up some of the slack. Just a thought.

A:  Sigman 9 in. Tarp Ball Bungee is an elastic bungee cord. When stretched, it will tighten itself. If 9 inch ball bungee is too long, you may try Sigman 6 in. Tarp Ball Bungee (25-Pack). Alternatively, you could untie the bungee knot inside the plastic ball and trim off any excess and re-knot the ends.

A:  I have not seen the white ones at Home Depot. Sorry.

A:  Sigman 9 in. Tarp Ball Bungee are available in black color only. The black wrapping fabric actually provides much better UV protection for the rubber than white fabric.

I have learned that one size larger than expected allows for a nice flexible fit. Great product for lashing down tarps and covers to a frame.

Product is just what I needed.
Product was used to complete a flower press project for the Junior Naturalists. I made many 8 1/2 inch by 11 inch flower presses with newspaper, cardboard, hardboard and used the 2 bungee cords as straps for each press. The straps compress the flowers, newspaper, and cardboard while the flowers dry. These were easy to use by 4th and 5th graders.
