About This Product
SBGXS (SilveRboard Graphite Breathable Exterior Sheathing) foam is laminated with a Radiant Barrier reflective film on both sides increasing board strength and flexibility, reducing site damage and waste. The reflective laminated surfaces are micro perforated giving the panel high water vapor permeance greatly reducing the likelihood of trapped moisture through the increased drying potential. The laminated film helps improve job site efficiency, joint tape adhesion and reduces labor install costs.

Can I put tie back house wrap over top of silver board graphite under steel siding?
Yes you can but it is not necessary if you use a vapor barrier rated tape to tape all the joints like TUCK BLUE. This will achieve the same result and make it a suitable second plane of protection Good Luck and Happy Holidays HC
Can I use this inside a kitchen cabinet that has a water filtration system in it- there is a dishwasher adjacent to this cabinet and the filtered water gets warmed if dishwasher was run Plan to place it between the filtration canisters and cab wall
Yes- there should be no problem -product is mold, mildew and water resistant . I would however recommend going with a thicker (higher R value board -R5 or R10 if you have the space ! Good luck HC
I have a dirt crawl space with plastic over the dirt and insulation between the joists. Can I add silverRboard to the interior of the block walls to help with the insulation of the space? Should I use PL300 adhesive to attach the panels?
Yes you can use Silverboard in this location- I would recommend 2" R10 but 1" R5 will suffice. Yes PL300 or PL Fast Grab will both work- With PL300 you will have to brace or screw the boards to the wall while it sets up . Good Luck HC
How much will SilveRboard compress if installed behind 1/4 inch Hardie backer board that is screwed into studs? The shower surround is a little proud of the adjacent wall, so I'm looking for something to get the surround and wall as plumb as possible.
This prooduct can compress up to 50% of its thickness , but please note with compression comes reduced R value as the air in the foam plays a major role in the insulation. It will however continue to perform 100% as a thermal break between the inside and outside faces of the wall and the studs. Good Luck, HC

Can this be used to construct a box to cover can lights in the attic (under blown insulation)?
Only of the lights are LED and do not produce much heat- regular incandescent light bulbs or spotlights get too hot to be close to foam . Good Luck, HC

Yes-this product would be fine - due to the overall weight of the water i would go with 1" product as compression will occur , but both are fine and will withstand the weight and protect the liner . Good Luck, HC
My hvac and water heater are in a utility closet. The new hvac is very loud. Can I use this to insulate and help with soundproofing the walls inside this utility closet?
Yes you can -however this is a STC 19 product with medium sound abatement performance if the unit is really loud, I would recommend going with a high performance product like a sound deadening acoustic tilelike Sonopan Good Luck HC
