Product Details

SilveRboard HD ( high density )- (10 sheets, 2 ft. x 4 ft. x 2 in. - R10) 80 sq. ft. under slab insulation is a high performance, high compression strength (35 psi) flat-sheet insulation material made from expanded polystyrene (EPS) which is bonded to a reflective film laminated on both sides. This highly effective combination of materials offers a high R-value per inch exceptional board toughness and load capacity compared to traditional flat-sheet rigid foam insulation, as well as provides a built-in moisture and air barrier. This non perforated SilveRboard rigid foam insulation (EPS) offers builders a higher performance product which increases job-site efficiency and reduces labor costs. No off-gassing and does not contain fluorocarbons, exceptional long-term thermal resistance (LTTR), and increased thermal resistance in lower temperatures.
  • SilveRboard SB35 high density is a non structural rigid insulation board with a layer of reflective metalized polypropylene film on both sides which increases board strength and flexibility reducing job site and handling damage and waste
  • Designed to be installed below-grade and under high- load concrete slab applications, as continuous insulation, includes a vapor barrier and reduce thermal bridging - ideal for under commercial slabs, driveways, sidewalks and foundation walls
  • Exceptional long-term thermal resistance in lower temperature - SilveRboard insulation installed below-grade outperforms XPS insulation: exhibiting better R-value retention and a lower moisture absorption over extended freeze-thaw cycles
  • Creates a thermal envelope for maximum heat/cooling efficiency, the non-perforated film functions as a vapor barrier when joints are taped with an approved vapor barrier tape

Q:Are there any concerns with layering this product 2 thick in order to achieve an R20 insulation rating?

Answer This Question

A:  No- There si no problem at al - generally when using multiple sheet layers, we cross stack the product. Taping is only required on the lower level to make the assembly water and vapor resistant . Good Luck, HC

    A:  Yes- It is also mold and mildew resistant - please note this foam is very rigid and not easily bent to match contours . Will work very well and last forever . Good Luck, HC

      A:  You can cover not coat Any covering like stucco will require self adhesive mesh and mechanical fasteners . Febergkass batts must be mechanical fastened to the studs directly Good luck HC

        Q:Is this product resistant to water? Can be temporary stored outdoors?

        A:  It is totally resistant to water , but will absorb a very tiny percentage, but that is immersed in watre - storage outside is 100% okay - should not be stored for more than 6 months in the sun though. Good Luck, HC
