Questions & Answers
After having these stacked the smooth side has rub or scuff marks. Can I clean these or can I repaint them, if so is there a preferred paint?
Start by gently scrubbing the marks with water and a nylon-bristle brush, then rinse with a garden hose. Surface residue from stacking may clean off, but actual scratches or abrasions may remain. Avoid wire brushes and pressure washing. If using a cleaner, choose one approved for colored concrete and test it in an inconspicuous area first. We do not recommend painting over the scuffs, as paint can change the appearance and may not match the original Bluestone finish. If I use this as a step tread, does it matter what side I use as the top? There is a smooth and rough side.

Which sides are chisled? Is it 2 short sides and 1 long side? Or 2 long sides and 1 short side?
Hi Adam, the chiseled edges are on front, back and 1-side. Front and back are the 24 in long sides.

Each cap is wet cast concrete with handcrafted chisel edges and a hewn finish in Indiana Limestone color, a mix of light gray and buff. One cap covers 4.34 sq. ft. The pack weighs 110 lb., so plan on two people or mechanical assistance to move and set each cap. Suitable for capping masonry gate posts and entry pillars with a top of 25 in. square or less.
