The AC4Z requires both the beam and post to be the same thickness. For a double 2x beam on a 4x post, the LP4Z or BCS2-2/4 would be *options. *It is up to the Desinger/Engineer of Record to specify the appropriate connector based on framing layout, demand loads, local building codes, etc. Thank you!
The application described is not clear, but the AC4Z requires 0.162" diameter x 3 1/2" long nails. It is up to the Designer/Engineer of Record to specify the appropriate connector for the specific application based on framing layout, demand loads, local building codes, etc. Thank you!
A triple-2x beam will be 4.5" wide (1.5" x 3), so you will either have to add a piece of scrap 2x in their to make it 6" wide or get a difference column cap for a 6x post that is adjustable (you'll buy 2 of them, one for each side).
We would suggest a Designer be contacted for assistance with your deck design as we are unable to provide design advice. We can mention that footnote 5 on the AC4Z page in our catalog/on our website states "Uplift loads do not apply to spliced conditions. Spliced conditions must be detailed by the Designer to transfer tension loads between spliced members by means other than the post cap." Thank you!
The AC4Z is sized for nominal 4x4 (3 1/2" actual); the AC4RZ is sized for rough (true) lumber. Thank you!
It fits a 6 inch post. I have picture with review.
One per side. No two pack.
If the post are perpendicular it would be possible
yes - the top will bend to fit - check my review
