A: Hi CRLD, thank you for your message. This is Ricardo with Simpson Strong-Tie. The SDS screw used with the CBSQ post base are 2" long. A: Hi davey76, this is Colin from Simpson Strong-Tie. The CBSQ standoff post base series does not provide adequate resistance to prevent members from rotating about the base and therefore are not recommended for non-top supported installations. An alternative option that does provide resistance to rotation at the base, is our MPBZ Moment Post Base. If you need more information or have additional questions, please contact the Simpson Strong-Tie Customer Service team at 800-999-5099. We look forward to hearing from you.
A: Hey James, this is Ricardo with Simpson. We specify the standoff thickness as 1". The standoff of the CBSQ meets code requirements for structural posts installed in basements or exposed to weather or water splash. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us at 800-999-5099.
A: Hello Oscar, this is Stacy with Simpson Strong-Tie. The CBSQ does not have a standard for which way it needs to be installed. Please follow the installation instructions and side cover requirements listed in our website. If you have any questions please call us at (800) 999-5099. We look forward to hearing from you.
