The CPT88Z can be used with a nominal 8x8 (7 1/2" x 7 1/2" actual) or rough 8x8 (true to 8" x 8" size). Thank you!
The knife plate is 4 1/2" wide. More information would be needed to answer your question (i.e. what type of post, demand loads, etc.). Please contact our Engineering Support Department at 800-999-5099 for further assistance. Thank you!
Yes, it can be used on wood base
The CPT66Z anchors to the concrete with 2 - 1/2" diameter anchors. It is up to the Designer to specify the anchor bolt type (i.e. cast-in-place, mechanical, adhesive), length and embedment. Thank you!
•The Designer must specify anchor bolt type, length and embedment, but the SET-3G Anchoring Adhesive would be an option for existing concrete. Please visit our website or catalog for further information. Thank you!
I really like the idea of these post base because I did not want any hardware showing on the base of my newly installed 6 x 6 post leading to my front door. However; my contractor hated them & we gave up on trying to use these. it was diffident to get the 3 metal plugs to align perfectly.
Post bases do not provide adequate resistance to prevent members from rotating about the base and therefore are not recommended for non-top-supported installations (such as fences, railings or unbraced carports). We do not have a base to recommend for railing applications to existing concrete. Thank you!
The CPTZ is not recommended for non-top-supported installations (such as fences, railings, unbraced carports). We do not have a load-rated base that we refer to for railing applications. Thank you!
This base in installed with galvanized pins, which are included, but the anchor bolts are not.
It would be up to the Designer/Engineer of Record to specify the orientation depending on the lateral load demands. (The F2 direction is rated higher than the F1 direction; please see our website or current catalog for details). Thank you!
