Hello, this is McKenzie with Simpson Strong-Tie. Depending on your load requirements, the GA gusseted angle, using 1.5" fasteners, could be used to attach to two 2x4 in a perpendicular configuration. The GA does provide uplift, in plane, and out of plane load resistance.
