What is the difference between the LB and JB designations for this product?

Answers

LB is 14 guage. LB is thick enough to allow welding to steel headers. JB is 18 guage. JBA hangers can be used with nailing guns.

Can you install these with the Strong-Drive SD screws?

Answer

The JB26 has not been tested/rated with the SD structural connector screws at this point. Thank you!

I really like joist hangers. This design is really one of the better ones. They have been in the rain for the past 2 months and no rust.

Great concept, poor execution
Agree with other reviewers. Joist is too not flush, too high. Had to return. It would work great if they added about 1/4" top to bottom.

I used these last year and they were great. These made my floor joist1/4 inch higher than my walls. I returned rather than have to notch each 2x6 to fit.

They work great. The only complaint is that they dont hang a 2x6 totally flush with the top of the hanger. The lumber sticks up a good half inch and needs notched if you want flush.
