I am a contractor and use these to support stair stringers all the time. Local county inspectors allow them when installed per directions since they are stronger than standard adjustable stringer connectors ( Simpson LSC). When installed properly they support an 885 pound load.
Two LRUZ26 hangers can be installed back-to-back on a 2x8 ridge using either SD #10 x 1 1/2" Connector screws or taking a load adjustment using shorter nails.
