A:  Hello JFJF, this is Stacy with Simpson Strong-Tie. The APDJT can be installed in single or double applications. It attaches 2x joists to the side of 4x or larger support posts. 3 1/2" SDWS screws are recommended to be used for the post and 5 1/2" for the joists. A:  I installed two per post (6x6 lumber), but used the 3.5-inch structural screws instead, with the Hex-Head Washer. Worked great, no overlap.

A:  Hello Trent, the hole dimeter for the APDJT2-6 are 9/16" holes. They have not been tested to be used with carriage bolts instead of screws. If you have any further questions please reach out to our Customer Service team by calling 800-999-5099.

A:  The APDJT2-6 has a 1 1/2" offset and is specifically sized for a 2x joist to 4x and larger posts. It would not work with a 4x8 beam. Thank you!
