I used these heavy brackets with the decorative washers and structural screws for a timber framin...
I used these heavy brackets with the decorative washers and structural screws for a timber framing project. I used these instead of timber bracing to eliminate the possibility of racking on the timber frame structure. This was a small timber frame structure for BBQ grilling and using the traditional wooden braces would have restricted views. The Outdoor Accent brackets, washers and structural screws looks great and did the job.

These angle brackets are sturdy and impart a nice detail...
These angle brackets are sturdy and impart a nice detail to my post and beam porch. They provide a much nicer finish than plain galvanized hardware. Based on their size and the substantial fastening system, I'm convince they are strong. They stand up well to the 6x8 and 6x6 rough-cut timbers.
