Product Details

The PF series of top-flange hangers are designed for common light-frame applications. These economical hangers are for use with 2x4 and 2x6 members. The patented double-shear nailing design distributes the load through two points on each joist, providing greater strength with fewer nails.
  • Self-jigging design for automatic vertical alignment provides quick installation
  • Diamond holes to temporarily fasten the connector for easy alignment and attachment
  • Cannot be modified
  • Seat width: 1-9/16-in

The PF24Z is designed to support 2x4 roof purlins spanning the top chords of pole barn trusses. From my position I am limited in helping you select the best connector for your application. Constructing overhead storage in your garage should be designed with care to avoid any safety hazards. I suggest you consult with a qualified professional to select the correct lumber and hangers for your project.       2x4’s confirmed to not sit flush.
      I’ve already installed 30 of these and at this point I’ve just gotta wing it but the 2x4’s protrude like 1/4”
