The SUR/L are 45-degree skewed hangers designed to support solid sawn and engineered wood products used in wood construction. These U-shaped hangers encapsulate the top flange of the joist, so no web stiffeners are required for standard installation. The SUR and SUL hangers are identical except that they are skewed 45-degrees to the right (SUR) and the left (SUL), respectively.

Yes, the SUR210Z can be installed with can be installed with the SD9112. My setup was more like 37 degrees than 45. I found that it worked best if I only put 2 screws in the header until I had the joist screwed in place, then I added the other screws to the header. It worked well for me.
"Joist hangers are designed to provide support underneath the joist, rafter or beam to provide a strong a connection. SUL/SUR hangers provide a 45° connection between a joist and header. These hangers will normally accommodate a 40° to 50° skew." More than that may compromise the hanger metal strength.
The SUR hangers are skewed at 45 degrees (can generally accomodate 40-50 degree skews). For a 30-35 degree skew, you might consider the LSSU hanger which is field adjustable (maximum 45 degrees). The hanger shown here is a single 2x10 hanger, but the description states double (we are working to get this corrected). If you indeed have a single 2x10, please see the LSSU210, or please see the LSSU210-2 if it is a double 2x10. Thank you!
I don't know exactly which one you are seeing.... I paid over $6 for mine. It seems very expensive, since the straight ones are a little over $1.
