Q:I had this a little over a year now. Never used it except for last week to haul mulch. It broke on first use unfortunately (handle where it attaches to body). Can warranty cover it?

Answer This Question

A:  Hi DrMo, we are very sorry to hear that. If the load did not exceed the limit then it should have been ok but I'm wondering if it has been sitting outside for a year or stored inside. Unfortunately, since you bought it over a year ago you would be past both the warranty period and Home Depot's return/exchange period. -SLHG

    Answer This Question

A:  That happened to my cart and I just used some crazy glue and glued it back on and its fine now and that was a couple of years ago. Still using it.

A:  Yes you can order replacement caps from the manufacturer's parts dept online (https://smartlivinghg.com/collections/cart-parts) or by email (CS@SmartLivingHG.com) if you have any questions. -SLHG

Q:Where do I find assembly instructions
        by|Apr 17, 2023

        Answer This Question

A:  It should come fully assembled so it does not come with instructions. If you ever need to replace a wheel you would remove the push nut from the axle, slide the new wheel over the axle, and then push on a new nut/cap to hold it on. -SLHG

            Bad hub design
Cart overall is a good value but the hubs are very cheap and will almost certainly fall off in use. Easy fix though with 2 washers and cotter pins. If they just made it this way it would be perfect for what it is supposed to be.

              This Cart is Hazardous
I bought, and returned, this cart two weeks ago. I needed a cart to transport pumpkins to my trash receptacle - and in moving those pumpkins I hurt myself several times. First, there are two legs on the rear side of the container bin. The cart has a tendency to stop, abruptly, when it encounters a slight rise in the ground such as a small tree root or a crack in a sidewalk. When it stops abruptly, the cart tips forward, spills the contents, and the two legs impale one's legs. The legs got me, twice, and the wounds in my shins are still festering despite treatment. (I was wearing blue jeans, so the cart wounded me, regardless.) Second, the center of gravity is well FORWARD and HIGH ABOVE the wheel axles. Momentum makes the cart tip forward even if there is no abrupt stopping. And, the legs again strike the user.

                Really, really hate this thing
The design of this wheelbarrow makes it so that if you're pushing it you'll ram the front of your ankle into the low-slung bottom part while you walk, and if you're pulling it behind you, it will bash you in the heels. Check out the photos from the handle side and you'll see the very low, very stabby part I'm talking about. On the first day of use it took the skin off my heel THROUGH my shoes and bruised the front of my legs. It's impossible to move this thing without injury. SO badly designed

HI Erika, we are very sorry to hear about your experience with it. It's designed with the intention of it being pushed/pulled while facing it without any issues and the feet shape keep it sturdy on hills without rolling backwards. It's not intended to pulled behind you while facing away from it since based on the stride of your gait being longer behind you when doing that it would naturally increase the chance of it contacting the back of your ankle. We have been selling this item for years with tons of happy customers and good reviews but it may not be one size fits all for absolutely everyone so it the SLC450 is not the ideal size for you and you need a bigger one then we do have a larger version with extendable handle called the SLC700 on the horizon which will be available in the near future. -SLHG smartliving

It's not as sturdy as I had expected but it is holding up just so far... it had about an inch of dust on it... it was either used or in storage a long time... I'm good with this purchase

                  Perfection for many Garden Tasks!
Very sturdy but light weight and easy to maneuver! I am an older woman and this is so helpful! Comes with an extra set of wheels which I need some nimor help with to attach. Very good purchase! I wish that I had purchased this years ago! And the service was terrific!
