Great recovery strap
I always keep a recovery strap in my truck and have had to use one multiple times. Usually in the winter time with icy roads or going up to the mountains and the snow pack gets slippery. This tow strap is really nice. It is plenty long enough to not have to worry about smacking two vehicles together if one gets going faster than the other.
The hooks on this one area a little small and do not hook around all points on my truck. In these cases I have to use a shackle. The inside dimension of the hooks on this strap is right at one inch. It will hook onto the tow hooks on the front of my truck but not the towing ball on the back hitch of my truck. If does hook around the 2" ball on my utility side by side hitch. It has plenty of strength at 3000lbs of working load to tow a vehicle out of a ditch or down the road. Great value for the price as well. I would recommend this to anyone with a truck.

Strong medium duty two rope

What a strap
We needed a heavy duty strap that we could use around the ranch. I ordered this one because it was a little shorter and I was guessing it wasn't super heavy. We put it to the test on the first day. I lifted some gates which aren't super heavy and it worked great. The hooks on the end are just big enough to hook onto just about anything. They are plated to help stop corrosion. I then put it to the test by picking up the box grader and it pass the test with flying colors. This is a great product and super happy with it.

Great feeling tow strap
Have been wanting a nylon tow strap to use instead of a log chain which is only sixteen feet long this one is 20 feet giving me another four feet. Rated at three thousand pounds safe pulling strength and 9000-pound breaking strength should be plenty useful for all my vehicle and other jobs I will need it for. This is a lot lighter in weight and will cause less damage to my vehicle if it bounces around. I would recommend this tow strap.

Smart Straps, So the boxes all say engineered in the USA Standard Straps, Tow Strap Heavy Duty , Commercial Racket and Tire Bonnet. But they all have a different point of assemble and component supplier. Also make sure you read the print and all packaging is not equal. Ill try to weed all this out.
All the materials seem to be nice in the strap weave and component plating , some are little rough castings but shouldn’t take away from their performance . The gearing seem to be stamped and plated the plastics all seem to be secured well for a good performance. The ratchets all work well as advertised . I wouldn’t go past the work load strength for the one reason of some inconsistency in labeling in reference to Safe work strength and break strength.. That is the commercial ratchet is marked Safe work load of 3300 LB ,Break strength of 10000 lbs but turn the box around and the specs are 5000 -12k break strength. Same with the 3000k Tow strap with a 8k break strength but the back says 5k to 12k break strength . I guess just rely on the lower values and you're hopefully ok. Lastly the straps that come with reusable cases , its just the open case they come packed in getting them back in after use good luck . They do what they claim but beware of their limits and abilities.

Good, long tow rope...Useful addition to my truck toolbox
I bought this as a replacement for my existing tow rope, which had become unusable. This is a quality rope, with a max towing weight of 3,000 lbs (1/3 of breaking weight). The hooks are forged steel with a zinc coating to keep them from rusting. The strap connection to the hooks is 5 inches of doubled strap, reinforced with nylon stitching. The 20' length is a good length to allow whoever is in the towed vehicle time to brake etc.

Beats heavy chains!
I occasionally need to tow a vehicle with my truck. Having 30 feet between vehicles is very helpful, as it gives both drivers time and space to react to road conditions. Normally, I would use a chain, but a chain heavy duty enough, and long enough, is quite heavy. This tow strap is light weight, and will handle up to 9000 pounds. Plus, it will roll up into a small package and not take up much room in my truck! Thanks SmartStraps and Home Depot!
