A:  Hello! When paired with the Bonfire Stand, you can use our fire pits on a wooden deck safely. Composite decking, such as Trex, TimberTech, Azek, TIVA, Nexan, and Versadeck, have a manufacturer fire resistance rating from A to C. Check with your manufacturer or builder for what grade decking you have beforehand. To be safe, using a stand is required at all times when burning on composite and PVC decking. The very bottom rim of your Solo Stove is actually the coolest part of the unit, so a little insulation between your Solo and the surface it will rest on goes a long way. Be cautious when using a fire pit on a heat sensitive surface and do not leave fire pit unattended.

A:  If it is sitting on a ring - I don't think it does. It didn't affect our regular wood deck or the grass at all when we used it on those surfaces.

A:  Flat surfaces are definitely what we recommend, however, it is safe to use on grass with caution. If the fire pit has been left for an extended amount of time with the grass not being exposed to sunlight, it will cause the grass to die/discolor in that area. We recommend using a Stand when placing your fire pit on grass to provide enough space around the fire pit’s lower vent holes and to protect the health of your lawn. If you grass is tall and/or thick, it is possible your grass will still die even if using the Stand with your Solo Stove. We recommend have 20-25 feet of clearance above the fire pit, and 5-10 feet from bushes/trees.

A:  Hello! Yes, the Bonfire does come with a black nylon carrying case. Please keep in mind that this is not the weather proof shelter/cover. The shelter is sold separately.

A:  Yes, when we purchased it, it did come with a free storage bag along ring to sit it on.

A:  We have the same size unit. No power is needed to use the stove. I believe you can use it as a fit pit insert. As long as it is placed on its base and enough airflow space is left for the stove to draw and create the up draft for the smoke.

A:  Hello! We suggest 2+ inches around the entire unit for it to receive the proper airflow. Our fire pits do not require a power source, they are all wood burning.
