A:  Thank you for inquiring about our square planters. To allow for adequate drainage, you can drill holes in the bottom of the planter that are no larger than the size of a dime.

          A:  I just received two of these today. It was very easy to drill a 1/2" drainage hole in each planter (Home Depot has decent deals on drills too, I just bought a DeWalt that I love). I used generic terracotta colored plastic saucers. Not a perfect match but I have tons of plants in real terracotta, so they blend in well.
