A:  It’s important to drain your pot of all water before the onset of freezing temperatures.  Make sure drilled drainage holes are free from blockage so that water isn’t captured inside your planter. It’s always helpful to protect pots AND plants from freezing temperatures by covering them with towels, sheets, blankets, tarps, or cardboard.

A:  Oh my, yes! We have had these for several years and they have remained outdoors, rain or shine, snow and ice as well. They have withstood the hot & humid summers here in the Midwest, as well as the frigid icy winters! And they still look new; no color loss or deterioration of any note. We mostly use them, turned over, to protect our garden from rabbits (at night) and during the winter, so they can't chew the woody stems down to the ground. We drilled holes in the bottom so water/snow can get in. And I would suggest doing this if you plan to use them as planters in the traditional way!
