We are using this planter indoors. We were going to re-finish the wood stand legs to be a little grayer, but after setting up they really go well in the space as is. Our room is dark blue, with white barn-door, and this planter really fits the space wonderfully. The planter is light and plastic, yet glossy finish makes it look like a high quality porcelain bowl. Great addition!

I love this planter! It is larger than I expected even though I looked at the dimensions before I purchased, but I don’t mind the size, it’s over-sized-ness makes it extra fun. It does not have drain holes in the bottom, but I easily drilled some holes for draining. It’s a plastic/rubbery type material and didn’t split or crack with drilling. Since it is so large, I filled about 2/3 of it with plastic bottles before filling with soil — to save on soil and so it wouldn’t be too heavy. Then I added soil, planted, and watered and low and behold the drain holes do work!! :-) I did attempt to seal the wood stand with wood sealant, but it didn’t really take too well so I think the wood may already be sealed, but not 100% sure. Here are some photos of my planter journey!

The planter has a nice glossy finish and comes with an unfinished wooden stand. The plastic feel very sturdy and I think this will last for a while. The stand has one screw in the center, which is the only assembly it requires. There is no drain hole in this planter, so you need to use this indoors or in a shade where it does not rain. If you are very creative, you can probably drill one easily.

Very elegant and beautiful especially if your looking for something different. Looks very large but that is because of the stand. Will hold a large plant and this planter stands out because of the stand. The wooden stand is unfinished but a little sandpaper and stain will only add beauty to this planter. A unique overall design. The planter itself is strong and sturdy and has a high gloss finish that is easy to keep clean. There are no holes in the bottom. Can easily be used outdoors or in.

When I saw the word “plastic” I was a little worried. I thought this would be a flimsy and cheap looking planter. However, the pot itself is quite heavy and made of a thick resin material coated in a shiny white paint. It has sloped sides and straight edges making it look very clean and modern.
The pot does not have a drainage hole making it good for indoor use. It does, however, have a predetermined spot to drill one if you’re planning on using it outdoors.
The stand/base was easy to put together (two "H" shaped pieces with a notch in the middle) but the one single screw that came with it did not fit the hole properly. It was too small so the threads would not catch. The stand will still work without a screw so I left it that way for a couple of days while I searched for a screw. It’s made of unfinished, slightly rough wood and was a very light color so I stained mine to make it look nicer indoors. I’m sure you could easily paint it any color you like to match your patio or home décor.
It sits high in the stand and works perfectly next to the chair in my living room. It looks great and fits the mid-century vibe.
