Answer This Question
A:Â Yes ... I purchased this product to use as separate containers, or stack them in one of several ways as shown. But there aren't legs to support all the boxes, if that was what You were thinking of doing.
Hope that helps ...
by|Jan 30, 2023
A:Â Yes, you can certainly place each on box next to each other. Be sure to place them on a solid surface.
by|Jan 30, 2023
A:Â Yes. It is three separate boxes. Using the legs are optional. It comes with a pair of legs. Other option would be to line them on the ground.
by|Jan 30, 2023
A:Â Unfortunately, you cannot assemble them free-standing. There simply aren't enough legs tto make them all free-standing. You could put all the boxes on the ground without legs. The boxes are used as the legs. They only provide 3 legs.

Q:Can multiple sets be used together to create a taller planter?

Answer This Question
A:Â We do not recommend stacking multiple sets together.
by|May 23, 2022
A:Â These are a great idea, and I was drawn to purchase them as well. However, even just using one set as shown they have some stability concerns. Unless You place them in a secure or sheltered area, You may become unhappy with Your purchase.
by|Jun 28, 2022
A: Yes but you’d want to put taller plants on top because of crowding.  My daughter planted basil toward the bottom last year and; although, it did well it was very crowded
by|May 23, 2022
A:Â I don't think so. You may be able to make a wider planter but making it taller would probably be unstable. Also, our lower planter did buckle a bit under the weight of the dirt and plants in the upper planter so they can get quite heavy if you fill them fully with dirt.

Lasted about 3 months
The directions tell you to line the bottom with rocks for drainage and fill with soil. Unfortunately, the structure cannot support the weight. It completely collapsed and cracked after a few months.

Not sturdy!
I had this planter for 1 month. And it looked great. Until this morning, when it broke and all 3 sections dumped all over my deck. So disappointing.

Hinges don't hold up
This is a great idea and very easy to assemble but once you fill them with soil and plants, the sides don't hold up. The sides have hinges which can bow out even when only half filled with soil. We had to tape around one box to hold it together. It couldn't be used as part of the set. The design is great. Fits in small places and can be set up in different configurations but the hinges have to go.

Flexible layouts are great. Lightweight but strong when filled. The simplest assembly I've experienced.
We've all put together a lot of things. For something as substantial as this, this is clearly the easiest assembly process I've ever experienced. For those who don't like tools, here you go. Get these! The different layouts also require no tools, just placement and maybe a snap and click of a leg.
Once assembled, the boxes tend to want to easily collapse if you move them. However, this is of no concern once filled with soil. The soil will keep them properly shaped.
The bottoms are intentionally "leaky", so no hole drilling is required. This also makes it impossible to use inside. Before the water seeps out, you will get 1" of water resting on the bottom of the box. It is best to fill this bottom space with something like rocks. The instructions also suggest this.
This is the perfect solution for a space between my garage doors. I've already put it to work for early spring vegetables and look forward to growing a summer crop here too.

The FLEXSPACE Garden was very easy to set up and It's a versatile planter that lets me arrange my garden space the way I want. The long side unfolds the short snaps into the frame. Planter boxes seem to be reasonable sturdy; the frame and legs are more rigid than the side panels. Home Depot doesn’t have garden plants out yet so I tried it out with my house plants. I found a 7 inch pot was about the right size to bring the plant up to the right height for display. I needed to boost up the smaller pots. So that’s something to keep in mind when buying potted plants to fill the planter. In terms of gardening directly in the planter, neither the carton or instruction sheet stated how much potting soil is needed to fill, but since I had a couple of 6 qt. bags, I tried them out for size. I had the impression it will require at least 24 qt. to fill each box to plant directly in the boxes. Note also that Southern Patio recommends gravel/charcoal at the bottom for better results. Can’t wait for growing season to begin, I’m going to enjoy using my new garden space.

This is a very sturdy and well made planter! The planter boxes fold flat so storage in the fall is going to be super easy! There are three very generous planter boxes and two sets of legs that come with the set. There are several ways to set this planter up I have chosen to set it up so I will have two top section for my sun loving plants and a more shaded area for shade lovers. I’m very pleased with this planter. Can’t wait for warmer weather! This is going to hold a lot of flowers.

This Southern Patio Flexspace Garden is so awesome. It is quite large in size and very roomy. I find that my plants, no matter what kind, really need room for their roots to spread out. That being said, the depth is also wonderfully accommodating for whatever kind of plant you will plant in there. I have just started some assorted flower seeds and bulbs in some typical, round flower pots and can't wait to transfer the brand new tiny plants into this beautiful triple planter and watch them grow and bloom on my front porch. It's the perfect time of year coming up; Spring. For now, I just set the pots inside this remarkable garden planter and even doing a simple thing like that, cleaned up that spot in my yard and organized everything for me. Not only is the planter practical, it's so attractive looking and it is truly 'a snap' to put together. Take the pieces out of the box, extend the containers, snap the sides into place and snap the legs on. What I love so much about this container garden planter set up is that you can choose to set it up in so many variations between the three containers. That makes it so easy to be able to use it just about anywhere! The color is very pretty and the design is too. It is tough and durable yet easy to move around when it is empty. I cannot wait for my seeds and bulbs to come up so I can fill the containers with some good soil and create a beautiful arrangement of flowers to grow from the Spring all the way thru until the Fall. The directions do say to put gravel or charcoal at the bottom of each container to ensure good drainage and to choose plants that do well in shade for the bottom container, if you choose a formation that will block some sunshine on it. This is a fantastic Flexspace Modular Bed with so many different choices for display, either for looks or for space. It is spacious and even though the design is simple it looks so pretty and professionally organized. It is quick and easy to put together and is made to be durable and stand up to weather, etc. Easy to clean, breakdown and store too. I have included some photos of different formations. Very nice. Definitely highly recommend !

As a plant lover I am always looking for new ways to display my plants so I chose this Southern Patio Flexspace resin modular raised garden. Assembly was quick and easy requiring no tools. I love that the 3 plant boxes can be configured in different ways, depending on what type of plants I want to display. The built in drip tray is another good feature and it can also be used for storage bins or fold up to storage flat. This will look great on our small patio.

These Southern Patio FlexSpace Gray Resin Modular Raised Garden Bed planting boxes are super versatile.
First off, it’s an ingenious design that put 3 planter boxes & 2 support legs in a box that measures 22.5 X 15.25 X 11.5! The planting boxes are folded up, and easily expand, with the connections snapping into place. Assembly takes but seconds. In 2 of my photos, I show how the boxes unfold to make a finished planter box.
There are various ways to arrange these boxes, and you could get more than one set if you were inclined to make something even more elaborate. They seem sturdy; the instructions even suggest putting charcoal or gravel in the bottom of the boxes for improved drainage (dependent on your local climate conditions).
It will be fun to change up the arrangement of these Southern Patio FlexSpace Gray Resin Modular Raised Garden Bed boxes from season-to-season and year-to-year.
