A: Yes ... I purchased this product to use as separate containers, or stack them in one of several ways as shown. But there aren't legs to support all the boxes, if that was what You were thinking of doing. Hope that helps ...
A: Yes, you can certainly place each on box next to each other. Be sure to place them on a solid surface.
A: Yes. It is three separate boxes. Using the legs are optional. It comes with a pair of legs. Other option would be to line them on the ground.
A: Unfortunately, you cannot assemble them free-standing. There simply aren't enough legs tto make them all free-standing. You could put all the boxes on the ground without legs. The boxes are used as the legs. They only provide 3 legs.
A: Hello. We recommend using spray paint.
A: Yes. I would use spray paint. Rustoleum makes a great spray paint for outdoor projects.
A: I know they make paint for use on plastics/other. Some applications work, and some don't from what I have read. I don't have any experience except for the aforementioned as noted ... sorry.
A: I put rocks in the bottom first and I used 1 big bag per container.
A: I filled all three with almost two 50 qt bags of potting soil. The boxes because too heavy and started bulging at the sides. I ended up removing half the dirt. I suggest filling half with empty water bottles and half with potting soil. I loved the boxes...
A: Each box will hold up to 40 quarts of soil and plants.
A: We do not recommend stacking multiple sets together.
A: These are a great idea, and I was drawn to purchase them as well. However, even just using one set as shown they have some stability concerns. Unless You place them in a secure or sheltered area, You may become unhappy with Your purchase.
A: Yes but you’d want to put taller plants on top because of crowding. My daughter planted basil toward the bottom last year and; although, it did well it was very crowded
A: I don't think so. You may be able to make a wider planter but making it taller would probably be unstable. Also, our lower planter did buckle a bit under the weight of the dirt and plants in the upper planter so they can get quite heavy if you fill them fully with dirt.
