is this large enough for a single 10/2 with ground?

Asked by TimV June 20, 2019

Answers

Yes, but depending of bends, can be tough pull. Did my 100 foot pull in backyard. Even with the curve of the conduit, was quite the job. Recommend next size up if want an easy pull.

If I order a quanity of 3 - 100ft will it be a 300ft continuous piece or 3 separate 100ft pieces?

Separate, would need to buy three connectors--ensure they are waterproof. Need connectors for ends anyway--one for out the electrical panel and other depending on termination location.

What is the temp rating for this conduit

Asked by Bob April 13, 2018
1
Answer

Rated for temperature range of -30 to 80 degrees Celsius and 60 degrees Celsius in oil, direct burial and concrete encasement applications. The above advice is based upon the current edition of the National Electric Code (NEC). Free access to the latest version of the NEC is available online at www.nfpa.org/freeaccess. The NEC and local building codes regulate the types of wire and cable that can be used in specific electrical applications, as well as the manner of installation. Check your local building codes before you start any wiring and cable electrical project and be sure to obtain required permits. When your work is complete, always have it inspected for compliance with local codes to ensure that it has been safely installed.

There are several companies that make fittings specifically designed for PVC Jacketed MC Cable: http://www.aifittings.com/landing/ltmc507-ltmc75/ http://bptfittings.com/Home/ProductFinder?sel=820,1025 http://www.tnb.com/pub/en/node/740

I want to use this as a conduit for a 12gauge wire. from a power pole to a movable boat dock.

Asked by yankee March 22, 2016

12 gauge wire is about 3/4 inch. Need larger conduit. The flexible is the way to go though. Need to buy clamps too because it will sag for the horizontal run it sounds like you plan.

do flexi lines ever crack or leak?

Asked by zeno March 1, 2016

After a period of time in the sun the outer plastic can deteriorate and crack. I have never, in over forty years seen a roof leak do to deteriorated flex conduit penetrating the roof to an air conditioner. It is still hard for a significant amount of water to penetrate the inner metal conduit.
