It’s not solid, it’s stranded but I knew that from other reviews. It works like number 10 wire should but why couldn’t I buy it in a shorter roll. I only needed 85 feet but I had to buy 125ft. Can I sell it back?

This cable uses an aluminum jacket, not steel. Aluminum bends and goes out of shape much more readily than steel. This means it can be damaged easily. Also aluminum takes less heat to raise it’s temperature than steel, which is a safety concern.

Great price.
I find not only does the stranded carry a load better, but it is also easier to work with in tight outlet boxes. This wire is well made, easy to pull, and everything I would expect.
