Keep in mind too that at full load (30A) you will get voltage drop of about 9 volts at 150'. So instead of running at 120 your pump/devices will be running at 111 volts when drawing 30A. I doubt a pool pump and a few lights will draw anywhere near full load but just keep in mind you will get voltage drop with higher the load higher the drop.

Would this be overkill for a patio install?

10-2 will be way overkill for what you are proposing. I would replace the breaker with a 20A and wire it all with 12-2.

Please consult your local electrician. The above advice is based upon the current edition of the National Electric Code (NEC). Free access to the latest version of the NEC is available online at www.nfpa.org/freeaccess. The NEC and local building codes regulate the types of wire and cable that can be used in specific electrical applications, as well as the manner of installation. Check your local building codes before you start any wiring and cable electrical project and be sure to obtain required permits. When your work is complete, always have it inspected for compliance with local codes to ensure that it has been safely installed.

Yes, it should be fine gauge size. I have a lamp post about that same distance on the road to enter my driveway that has a receptacle as well, in which I've actually ran a skill saw....also have three flood lights closer to the house paralleled off the circuit as well.

I used it to bring power to my little workshop at the back side of my property. It was the only line available to lay underground without laying pipe first then pulling the wire thru. It is rated for uncovered underground use. I buried mine 18" just to be sure driving over it wouldn't compromise it's integrity in the future.

Picked this up today and what an easy solution. I added a 50 amp load center to my shop and needed an inexpensive way to connect the service. This will pull my air compressor being a 2 pole 20 amp 220 volt circuit and one 15 amp gfic circuit. Make sure to choose your wire size to your needs. I buried this to avoid the hassle of piping and the added expense. I placed it in pvc where high traffic is for added protection. I am super happy with this brand and it's convenience.
