Asked by Hotrod April 6, 2019Electrolysis is a chemical decomposition produced by passing an electric current through a liquid or solution containing ions. Galvanic corrosion is an electrochemical process in which one metal corrodes preferentially when it is in electrical contact with another which would be your case. We have found that wrapping Teflon Tape to the Armorlite Cable stops this action. But, Armorlite cable would not be grounded when it is attached using cable connectors with Teflon Tape. Armorlite Cable outer tubing skin acts as a ground when it is attached using the correct cable connectors.
