If you buy Green wire, you should expect to get Green wire. If you buy White wire, you should expect to get white wire. If you buy Black wire, you should expect to get Black wire. If you buy Red wire, you should expect to get Red wire. Do you understand this and what the different colors imply?

Asked by: Sleepy
You need to check the amp load of your dryer and the distance from your breaker box. I would be very surprised if 12 gauge would be adequate. Need to check with a qualified electrician or Engineer as undersized wire can get very hot.

Can I run this underground from 20amp gfci plug for 50ft to add outdoor outlet? Conduit size?

Asked by: Chris
Yes as long as the THHN/THWN conductors are installed in conduit. The voltage drop at a full load of 20 Amps would be below 3% (industry recommendation) for a 50' circuit using 12 AWG CU THHN/THWN. You can use 1/2" Schedule 40 PVC conduit. The above advice is based upon the current edition of the National Electric Code (NEC). Free access to the latest version of the NEC is available online at www.nfpa.org/freeaccess. The NEC and local building codes regulate the types of wire and cable that can be used in specific electrical applications, as well as the manner of installation. Check your local building codes before you start any wiring and cable electrical project and be sure to obtain required permits. When your work is complete, always have it inspected for compliance with local codes to ensure that it has been safely installed.
