What maximum wall thickness does this work with? I've got a Cantex box with 1/4" thick walls and the threads on my current connector don't extend far enough on the inside to securely attach the internal lock ring and enable a watertight connection.

can this be used with 3/4" sch 40 pvc conduit? I have a really short, straight run and don't want to have to deal with pvc glue.

No. This is designed to fit on PVC non-metalic flex conduit.
I need this bulkhead fitting for an experiment. Can I use pvc glue to secure a cpvc pipe to the bulkhead fitting? I will be using this on a plastic tub, does the fitting come with rubber on both sides to seal the tub?
