Can I tested it on liquid solutions
This tester is designed for testing electrical continuity in non-energized wires and cords. It is not designed or recommended for testing liquid solutions. Doing so could damage the tester and create a safety hazard.
Dear Gardner Bender, You state in a previous answer that the bulb cannot be replaced. However, the bulb does unscrew out of the spring and your manual states includes bulb replacement specs. What are we missing? Thanks
you have to "crack" the smoke glass from the yellow body , this has been glued on, this will give you access to the bulb , replace bulb and use clear tape for future replacement of battery or bulb
what will happen if you test it on a charged battery 12 volt?
This tester is designed for checking continuity in low-voltage circuits and is not suitable for use with a charged 12-volt battery. Applying 12 volts to this tester could damage the device and potentially create a safety hazard.

The back unscrews were wire comes out of. Look at my review at Home Depot online. It has pictures of were the batteries are removed from.
The installation Guide linked in the Product Overview section on this page gives instructions for replacing the batteries. Twist strain relief at base of tester counter-clockwise to remove it and access the battery compartment.
Can you test Christmas light strands with this?
Yes, you can use this tester to check for breaks in non-energized Christmas light strands. Make sure the strand is unplugged before testing.
How do I change the light bulb in my tester
TL3, base: mini-screw, wattage: (0.25-Watt), voltage: (2.33-Volt)
The LED on this tester cannot be changed. If there is an issue with the LED the whole tester will need to be replaced.
