Storing fuel for more than a year? Have a generator or piece of equipment you don't know the next time you will use it? Have no worries - STA-BIL Storage is an additive meant just for what you're looking for. STA-BIL Storage keeps gas fresh for up to 24 months. This eliminates the need to drain fuel before storing your equipment and ensures quick easy starts the next time you go to fire it up. This product is highly effective in all gasoline, including ethanol and non-ethanol blended fuels. Whether using 87, 91, or 93 octane gas ethanol or non-ethanol blended gas still goes bad. This product is great for bulk gas storage, as well as collector cars, small engines, generators, and boats. Treat rate is 1oz to 2 1/2 Gal. of gas. If using with small engine equipment it is best to add STA-BIL Storage to your gas can. This way every piece of equipment you fill with that can is treated. Make sure to add STA-BIL while the gas is fresh. Best practice is to add STA-BIL when you are at the pump.

Q:Is stabil blue or red good for a lawnmower?

Answer This Question

A:  The product we recommend for small engine equipment is STA-BIL Storage (red), or STA-BIL 360 Protection (amber). Although STA-BIL 360 Marine (blue) would work, it is rather recommended for marine equipment. Hope that helps!

        Q:Can I add this stabilizer to mix gas for my weed eater and how much stabilizer do I add into a 1 gal can after I add the 1 gal of gas and the mix oil?

        A:  Yes, STA-BIL Storage works well in any equipment that uses regular gasoline and in 2-cycle mixes. It can be added to the fuel prior to mixing or to the mix itself. In 1 gallon, you can use about .5oz (half ounce), Hope this helps!

          A:  If you are asking if you can use this in place of oil on a gas/oil mix, the answer is no. If you’re asking if you can add this to the gas oil mixture you make you should first check the oil you are using- a lot of oil mixers have fuel stabilizer included so this would be redundant.

            Works Great!
            I've used Sta-Bil for years, for lawn mower/snow blower gas I have a 5/gallon gas can I'll put 2oz of Sta-Bil per gallon it'll take me 2 years to use up 5 gallons! I have another 5/gallon gas can for my backup generator I just use a double dose of 2oz of Sta-Bil for 2.5 gallons. After a year or so if I don't lose power, I'll put it in car and get another fresh can for backup!

                Wouldn't think of storing my cars without it!
                When I put my classics in storage for winter (6 months here in the Northeast) I would not think of storing them without a healthy dose of Sta-Bil Storage! I have never had any problems with stale gas and they fire right up in the Spring. Fill the tank to the top. add Sta-Bil and run for a few minutes to protect the fuel in the lines as well.

                  Great for getting gasoline in your yard tractor to behave during the cold winter months. Great for summer, too, but especially good in the winter. Full tank of premium gas plus this will keep problems away.
