great tape measure with a helpful magnetic hook
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is my go tape measure and has a home in my electricians tote, I really like the easy to read, accurate high vis tape with bold incremental numbered markings, makes measuring tasks a breeze. The ergonomic compact form feels good in the hand and comes in a easy to find blazing orange. I was really impressed with the tape measures smooth retraction and strong lock. The magnetic hook has some solid holding power and really comes in handy.

A 3 star tape measure than can be a 5
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Would be perfect if the magnet had a bit more hold and if it would clamp the tape measure tighter every time in its locked. Seems too loosen up too easily. If those two things are fixed it would work great I just deal with carpentry and remodeling. So as far as my idea of a good tape measure. It would be perfect if those issues are fixed. Still a die hard fatmax classic fan

Powerful Magnet Tape Measure
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow is all I have to say about this. The main complaint I've always had is getting the end of the tape to stay where I need it to when working. The end of the tape on this tape measure has a powerful magnet that stays hard. You actually have to pull it to get it off of the metal your stuck to. The release is on the base of the measure, so you can use your fingers or palm to release the tape. Its bulky, so its not an easy one to put in your pocket, but its easy to grab too. I'd really recommend this if you have metal you work with.

Great features and usefull.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got back from my trip to colombia and i found on my mail this beauty, thanks stanley tools for sending me this awesome measuring tape, i love the magnet which is very strong, stays Solid in the metal parts, the numbers are super easy to see , it holds itself up to 6.4 inches, that’s insane!, overall, the best measuring tape i ever had, thanks again.

Measures up!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first time in years that I’ve had what I consider a “high-end” tape measure. Frankly, I usually just go with a cheap tape measure that I get for free at a big-box store or at a trade show. They get the job done, and I don’t care if they get beat up or break - they were free, after all! (Disclaimer: I received this unit in exchange for an honest review. So there’s that.) Upon getting this tape measure, the first thing I noticed (aside from the high-visibility orange color) was the heft - it’s about a pound, or a little more. If your pants aren’t on tight, this thing could pull ‘em down when you put it on your belt. (And speaking of that, the belt clip is at an angle… probably to facilitate clipping and unclipping it to your belt.) Also, it’s 1.75” wide, without the clip - so it’s gonna stick out if you try to wear it. Me? I’d keep it in a tool bag. As for other external features, it has a hard rubber surface on the top, with ridges to help you hold on to it. The orange plastic case is slicker, so this is a good thing. Finally, take note of the LeverLock® - it’s worth registering the name, as it’s the sturdiest lock and release mechanism I’ve seen, and essentially makes up the entire base of the unit. And you’ll use it, because the tape measure locks in place by default when you extend it - no toggle button to try and engage. Recoiling the tape is smooth and feels powerful... no need to coax it back in, but it also doesn’t rip off your fingers. Now let’s look at the tape itself. It has a nice concave curvature that helps it keep its form. With a little care, I could easily extend it 6 feet or more without it drooping. Sliding it along the floor to measure a room, it stayed straight and true. From a readability perspective, it’s excellent - the large black numbers are about 5/16” tall, and the smaller units are printed clearly as well. It’s very easy to read, and the polymer matte (not shiny!) coating appears to be durable enough that the numbers won’t get worn away or smudged through use. About the magnet: There’s two reasons to have a magnet on the end of a tape measure - one is to hold it in place when you’re measuring the distance from something magnetic… maybe your water heater, a pipe or a fence post. The second is to pick up or otherwise retrieve that small tool, screw or nail you just dropped where you.. just.. can’t… quite… reach. The magnet on the Stanley LeverLock® is strong, so the nails, screws and even a small screwdriver can easily be retrieved. Could it lift a hammer, or a similarly sized tape measure? No. Could it stay attached to a metal object whilst you measure your distance from it? Yes, but not if you were pulling on the tape as you extend it. Extend the tape, touch the magnet to the metal part, and THEN measure. Lastly, I did what I always do with tools - though usually not on purpose: I drop them from a ladder. I got up on my 8 foot ladder, and casually nudged the tape measure from its perch on the top. I didn’t time it, but accelerating at 9.81 m/s^2, it quickly hit the concrete driveway and bounced away. Inspecting the damage… there was none, other than a scuff or two. And it continued to work just fine. Conclusion: This tape measure is a winner - it’s been weighed, it’s been measured (and dropped) and was NOT found to be wanting.

Smooth
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A prestigie measurement tape. The level lock system it’s on point making it simple to retract the tape with control. Other tapes with the locking device it’s hard to control and could either cut you as the retract or return to the casing so fast that the holding end snap off. The bright orange casing makes it easier to fin and be noticed. The large numbers are easy to the eye ensuring a proper reading. I just had this tool for few weeks and so far have proven to be encased solid. The magnetic end it’s very useful not just to hold on place where metal it’s available but to retreat small items like screws and nails and even small tools. Still to soon to determine if the locking system will not wear out to a point where it cannot hold the tape, but as of now I al confident it would perform fantastic.

Nice Tape Measure
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife took the 16’ but I really like the 25’ for a number of reasons. The Leverlock is great as you don’t have to slide the lock button to hold the tape to the desired length. With age, my eyes have gotten worse and the digits and are much easier to read than my Milwaukee. The standout is great given the width of the blade at nearly 10 feet, and it is not as bulky as my Milwaukee, either. Given the color it’s naturally the first one I pick up every time. Oval quite impressed for the money.

The lever lock is awesome!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this tape measure, it is very handy to use and I use it daily. The lever LLP col males ot so much easier to use than a standard tape measure. It is durable as I have dropped it a few times already and still works & looks great!

Awesome magnetic feature
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this for about a month now, perfect weight and very durable. Ive dropped it a couple of times and still works perfectly fine. Really has a strong design, and the magnetic feature is great when measuring iron or beams.

Awesome!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Stanley Leverlock 25’ is amazing to say the least! I love the upgrade of the magnet on the tip and the auto locking blade. It is very helpful especially when you’re doing a job/project yourself. The magnet is strong and has no problem to stay in place. I also love the squeeze mechanism to retract the blade. Just squeeze it up and it comes back nice and smooth without the blade swinging all around lol. This will definitely be my go to tape measure!
