Q:I bought a pair of these 20 or 30 years ago, and they had an (extra cost) option that mounted on one side which held a six-outlet power strip and an AC cord to power the strip. Can you still get the strip as an extra cost accessory?

A must need for the wood shop
Great Value , well built , Sits firmly on the floor . Nice and sturdy . I highly recommend these saw horses. The fold up for convenient put away. Holds a lot of weight . Half sheet of 3/4 plywood makes you a great work table . Don't question this Item its great.

Built well but base is short
These sawhorses were purchased to replace my old set (not Stanley). These look pretty well built and they cost $50 which isn't bad. However, the deal breaker for me, and hence 3 stars, is the fact that the distance between the legs at the base is unacceptable for me. The horses are stable when being used, but they tend to fall over then fold up, when I am moving them around, or even when I remove plywood sheets. I wanted a non-metal, rust-free, design. Note the photos. The distance on the new horses are 14 inches, where my much more stable older set are 21 inches.

Punch above their weight
Yes, they're plastic, but to a weekend warrior like me, it's an advantage. If you're not sawing through the support, these will last a long time. Lightweight, foldable, sturdy with lower shelves and hanging hooks. Storage is a piece of cake, and did you see the price!? I personally love these horses.

Sacrificed quality
Recently purchased these to replace a set of Stanley sawhorses that I had and used often over 10-years or longer.
First time using them to cut a 4 x 4 x 8, the bottom crossmember snapped. I read that a limited warranty comes with these, but there was nothing in the plastic packaging.
Useless to me now.

Big hinge near the floor is falling apart
I bought 4 of these (two packs of 2) at my local Ace Hardware. The hinges near the floor is coming apart and the connector pieces are breaking off after less than a year of use. The heaviest item I have put on them is a 4 X 8 foot piece of plywood 3/4 inch thick, which weights much less than the advertised capacity of 1000 pounds per pair.

Simple and light. Strong and easy to store. I had a set and shortly found so much use out of it that I needed another set. Can setup a working surface anywhere. Use it with a plywood top for cutting steel. Use 2x4 to setup a saw table. Add a 3x6 plywood sheet and have a workbench. So far I love them.

Used for a year, going to buy more tomorrow
These were used for my first workbench in my garage until I built a real one and it worked great.
They now have a new home in the garden keeping the rabbits away from our lettuce.

We’ve had the metal ones also and they’re definitely worth...
We’ve had the metal ones also and they’re definitely worth $10 more per package… No rusting issues. The plastic ones are great, very lightweight and durable. The convenient slots on top are nice for two by sixes to link sets together for a large table. And the side hooks are also good to reinforce stability. Easy and compact to store.

My new favorites
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used a variety of sawhorses & they all have their pros & cons. The cons of this pair from Stanley is that they're not height adjustable & the top isn't wide... but the pros are vastly superior (in my opinion) & I find myself using these all the time now. I love how incredibly lightweight they are (I can lift them with one finger) & how quickly they set up / fold down. I also love the rubber grips on the bottom of the legs. There are also little yellow rubber grips on the top that keep wood panels from sliding on the bare plastic . . . but I'm not sure how long those will last. They can handle a max, evenly distributed weight of 500 lbs. per sawhorse (which is way beyond my needs but it's nice to have that as an option). I also LOVE the built in "shelf " near the bottom & it's convenient to set my tools on them (especially if I'm in an outside environment). If I could go back in time I would get these before any of the others that I've used.
