      Answer This Question

A:  No drilling just screw in 2 screws that came in the package.

      by|Mar 17, 2021

A:  Not sure what you are referring to. The bolts attach to the unit by being inserted thru the 2 holes in the handle and then screwed into the 2 existing holes located on the outside of the unit. So all assembly happens on the outside of the unit .If there is only 1 hole on the outside of the unit or your screw is to long you should return it for replacement unit with proper length of bolt and or correct holes in the unit itself. Rapid heating for medium sized spaces. This unit requires a propane tank (maybe multiple depending upon the size of the heating area and desired length of time to heat) so make sure to have it in a space that is not in a high foot traffic area that could allow tripping on the supply tubing or heater itself. Also it needs to be in a well ventilated area due to the gas. The propane valve attachment is a bare threaded nozzle rather than the typical round knob but still attaches easily. After opening the gas valve on the propane tank, flip on the power switch (for the fan) then hold the gas button and at the same time the ignition button on opposite sides of the heater body. I have not had any issues with igntion. Since it's a flame, heat is emitted right away with subsequently rather quick warming of the surrounding area. The size fo the area heated is much improved compared with vertical torch stands prevalent at outdoor gatherings. In addition the outer cylinder of the heater stays relatively cool so that it is not a direct burn risk (but the end is still an open flame). Great heater!

Lightweight 60,000 BTU forced air propane heater. Very little assembly, have to attach carrying handle. Comes with hose for propane tank and extra long cord. This is great for heating your garage or workshop. It can also be used in screened in porches or patio areas. It has a push button ignition for quick starting. It throws off a good flow of heat. Make sure you use in well ventilated areas.

Perfect for Working in the Garage. It’s inevitable, whenever it’s cold and miserable outside that’s when I’ll have to work on the car. At least I can do it in the garage, out of the elements, but that doesn’t mean it’s warm. That’s where this heater comes in. It does a good job heating up my 2.5 car garage in a short time. It’s small and runs off of propane, the gas grill cylinder is getting some use during the winter time! The heater is forced air so thing heat up quick. Because it’s propane you have to leave something open, door or window, to let fresh air in so you kill yourself with CO. It’s a little tricky to light so do yourself a favor and read the instructions like I finally did. It looks good and works well.

Little guy packs a punch. This unit might be small but it puts out plenty of heat. It is directional heat, meaning the heat is directed on one direction. It has a fan and it blows the heat. The fan is not obnoxious as far as the sound level goes. The housing on the base is plastic. The shroud is metal. For a home workshop or garage, it will hold up fine. This heater works great and I would recommend it to a friend.

The Stanley 60,000 BTU Forced Air Propane Outdoor Space Heater really heats up my 2 car garage/shop pretty quickly. When using any heater with a flame it is important to use in a well ventilated area. That being said the heater is easy to set up and use. You get the heater and the propane hose. After you attach the propane hose to your propane tank, turn the gas on and check for leaks with a soapy solution. When you are sure there are no leaks plug in the electric cord and turn on the fan switch. Hold in the gas button and press the ignition button repeatedly until you have a flame. Hold in the gas button for about 15 seconds and then release. The flame should stay lit and make sure your flame is pointed in a safe direction. My garage heats quickly and then I just turn off the gas when done and then turn off the fan til next time.

We already have a pro shop heater from home depot, but it is too large for the purpose we plan to use this one for. We do many family picnis in the summer and fall, and it can get a bit chilly at night out here in the country. This will be perfect for heating the tent we set up, and just knock the right amount of chill from the seating arrangment. It is well made, compact and delivers just the right amount of heat.

This is a pretty nice little space heater. It does run on propane and electricity to run the fan for forced air. The heat can be felt at a distance of about 5 - 10 feet from the unit itself. I don't think this unit would have a problem heating a 1 - 2 car garage. It has only one heat setting. It come with all the necessary hardware to start it up. It does have the old style connection for the propane bottle, which I find could of been updated to the newer type of connection.

Nice little heater. I got this for my garage to warm it up before working on my cars. Does a good job and puts out a lot of heat. It does have a smell to it when it’s running and for a long time after. That smell of a vent free heater burning. So that took some adjusting to get used to, less adjusting than the bitter cold took. I couldn’t get the heater to stay lit at first. I even checked to make sure the thermocouple wires were correct. Then read in the manual to hold the manual lite switch for a full 39sec. After doing that it worked fine. Made in China, disappointing.

I have been looking for a heater for my shop to replace a kerosene heater. It has gotten very hard to find bulk kerosene in my area and the gallon at a time kerosene is way too pricey. This heater is a wonderful alternative. It is quicker to start and a whole lot quieter. The kerosene heater was messy when you fueled it and had a tendency to smell if you get a bad batch of fuel. Since I have a whole bunch of various sizes of propane tanks and everybody can refill them propane is a much better way to go. The POL connector on the hose is old school rather than the new acme thread style but for me the tried and true solid brass fitting is the best. It is also a major advantage that this heater is so light. My old kerosene heater weighed a LOT when attached the tank was full. Since this heater has the propane separate from the heater it is lighter. It heats my 625 sq ft shop quickly.

This is a nice, compact sized propane heater. You will need to connect it to a propane tank like the ones that are used for propane barbecue grills, a connector hose and fittings are included but you will need to supply your own propane tank. It's very easy to light as it has a piezo ignition feature. It has to be plugged in to an electrical outlet as it has a fan. The fan helps to really pump the heat out. It is NOT meant to heat living spaces because it creates carbon monoxide when it is operating so only use it outdoors or in areas with plenty of ventilation.
