The Stanley door with internal grilles was priced lower than other manufacturers that require special order for the same features (stock doors by all had only external grilles). The adage "you get what you pay for" surely applies here. Since this had to be ordered and there was no display door to compare, we did not anticipate the short-comings as the online description doesn't tell you......1) that the cutout for the deadbolt is very close to the window trim, 2) that the manufacturer's supplied brick mold is undersized, 3) that the sill doesn't not extend past the frame to meet with the brick mold and the manufacturer does not supply an extension. Nothing we can do about the cutout, I hope the deadbolt fits! The online image of this door doesn't accurately reflect the location of the cutout. The brick mold on the old door is 2", the Stanley door brick mold is 1-3/4". Since this would leave a gap between the brick mold and the siding, we will need to remove the brick mold from the door and purchase/install new 2" wide brick mold. We will also need to find a sill extension that fits this door! Otherwise, we will need to improvise with a piece of Azek that will also need to be painted to match the color of the house. What a pain!!
Home Depot quotes an install price that excludes any additional work an installer would have to do - a basic install. You can be assured that the installer will have more work to do and the homeowner will certainly incur several extra $$$ to retrofit this door beyond a basic install. For those who are not DIYers, DO NOT buy this door. This is not a project for beginners! For those who are handy, be prepared to spend more time and money to make this door work.

We would like to address each item you have pointed out individually: 1) On a 32" door the standard is a 2-3/8" backset and we drilled it to accept a standard lock. 2) Our brickold is standard sized for all of our doors - it is possible that it differed from your previous door, but this is in fact the standard for brickmold. 3) Our brickmold is designed to go over our sill. However, if you require an extension, we sell our anodized sill extension as an option on homedepot.com. 4) If you purchase a standard deadlock, it will fit.

The moulding around the window glass on the interior side of the door appeared to be missing anot...
The moulding around the window glass on the interior side of the door appeared to be missing another piece of snap on moulding that covers all the screws around the perimeter of window; quite an eyesore.
If there is supposed to be additional moulding, I would like home depot to follow up on this and send those missing pieces so our door looks finished.

Bought this door to replace back door off kitchen. Our house is over 100 years old so not sure what to expect. But this door was a breeze for my husband to install and it’s such a nice improvement. It opens/closes smoothly and I love the ease of glass cleaning. The storm door was more difficult because it did not fit in the frame of this door so we had to add lumber. But this door was exactly what we needed and I’m happy with this purchase.
