Q:I can't seem to find star bright step three teak oil. Has it been replaced with something else? I don't want to mix two different oils and come up with bad results!

A:  The Home Depot still carries Star brite Teak Oil, you may have to ask an associate to inquire about stocking at that particular location. This would also be labels as "Step 2" https://www.homedepot.com/p/Star-brite-1-Quart-Teak-Oil-in-Clear-137032/307747477

Q:Will this oil eliminate old smells in the wood

    Answer This Question

A:  Hello, No, this product will not eliminate smells from wood. You would really need to identify what the smell is coming from and solve that. Star brite Teak Cleaner will remove mold/mildew that can cause smells. There is always the chance its rotten wood, in which case that would need to be removed.

Q:Our front door is in good condition but the finish is fading a bit from the sun. Wondering if we can lightly sand it and apply Teak Oil to brighten it up and protect it. Does this sound like a good idea? What would you recommend? Thanks

      Furniture looks like new!
I cleaned my 40-year-old teak dining table with wood cleaner and rubbed on Star Brite Teak Oil. Scratches and water rings disappeared, and the faded wood was brought back to life. Table looks beautiful! My only recommendation would be to use the oil sparingly or it will take some rubbing to get off the excess. You can always put on another coat if needed.

Worked great on my parquet floors
I moved into my new home with parquet floors that needed refinsihing. I am holding off because of other work that needs to be done that will probably damage the floors. So, I needed a temporary fix to brighten my floors until we get them done. I have to say this product suprised me. There’s a section that was so discolored that it would drive me crazy. This fixed it. I applied two coats. The picture is after the first coat. Can’t say how long it’s going to last, but it’s not hard to apply, so if I have to do it every few months, I’m OK with that.

              Excellent
This brand of teak oil works very nicely in application, appearance, and so far in protection (water is beading up). Several years ago I used the Watco brand of teak oil available off the shelf at HD. I found it to be much darker than I would like and I don't recall actually liking it. This year I power washed our set and a couple other chairs and applied two coats of Star Brite. It costs a few dollars more but to me it's worth it. Took several quarts. I'll try as they say on the label to reapply/maintain the finish over time. Pic (in too bright of sun) attached.

I had grey dingy teak on my boat. Starbrite cleaner was used first. That pulled out the dirt. This oil has a nice golden hue. I'm very happy.
