I have been using it as a DIY fish tank / quarantine tank for 3 months now with no leakage. The one thing I have noticed is little lines like stretch marks appearing on the bottom and on the sides recently. I heard something or other on a forum about "micro tears", so I keep the water level low and assume its expiration date is in the next few months. Water bricks are better for longterm plastic free water storage.

I think they are plenty strong enough to be filled with books. Might be hard to lift though. I have several filled with paint cans and propane bottles that are very heavy and there is no problem with tthe box. I might be a little cautious if you plan to stack a real heavy one on top of another as the lid might deform a bit under the weight.

I just bought 2 of these, based on the size, I have several extra shop vac adapters to put in to these. It states Product Depth (in.) 26.125,Product Height (in.) 13.5,Product Width (in.) 16., My shop vac long adapters are 21.5 inches long and don't fit. Now I have to buy another bigger one for them. There is a difference in size from the web site and the storage box itself.

I like the latches so the lid can be secured, being see thru is great because I can organize my items so all I have to do is look thru the sides to find what I need. No indentations on the side helps fit thing better, it's what makes it better than the Sterilite 70 Qt. Ultra Storage Box, Clear Base With Clear Lid that I also purchased

I have found that this is the best storage box that I could use to store all my winter clothes or winter decorations so I may store them in a storage unit. Just by looking at the box I can identify what is inside. Highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to store items they no longer need for the season.

Please note, that the kids have a plastic reinforcement molding that protrudes about an inch or two into whatever you have in the bin. This goes all the way around the lid about three inches from the edge. Not a big deal until you want to squeeze the lid shut.

I later extended the size of the display. The container no longer fit over it, so I had to return it. The shape was already not optimal, as the sides had indentations and the corners came in from them.

It’s even better when they are on sale…..stock up. They run between 2 to 3 times the cost of similar sized moving boxes but can be reused much more and can be stored more places that cardboard boxes can.
