AnswersAs long as you have a proper gap on the latch side it is difficult to remove a door when closed even after the hinge pins have been removed. I was a locksmith for over 30 years and have seen a lot of damage done to doors when that was tried but with a door with a 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch gap no success.

Excellent solid door and stylish too. Brad nailed my trim on the front frame. Slid into rough opening. perfect fit. nailed 'er down on the hinge side. micro-adjusted door latch side so the holes lined up and air tight seal around door...cut spacers for rough opening and nailed 'er down. Prehung frame made my very first door hanging a pleasure.Very good weather seals around door also. Make double sure your rough opening is LEVEL AND SQUARE IN EVERY WAY. You'll have plenty of time to square up because it took a full (covid) MONTH to get this door. My new shed project is looking top notch with a 42in wide entrance. Steves & Sons TY.

The product itself is a well made good product, but it was mishandled somewhere between the factory and destination store. I picked up this special order door at the store. It was mounted on a pallet and wrapped in plastic, therefore, I did not see the cosmetic defects until I unpacked it at home. It had dents and scratches on both the inside and outside panels and the left jamb was damaged at the seal (piece missing). As the door was to be installed on an outside shop building, I went ahead and installed it despite the cosmetic defects and jamb problem which I fixed. I have considerable experience with door installations, and mechanically the door works well and was easy to install. Just disappointed that it was not handled well enough to prevent the damages. Just installed a week ago, therefore I have not been able to paint it as yet.

Door arrived as scheduled and the packaging from the supplier seemed robust enough to protect the door. Because of the packing and framing around the door, I couldn't / didn't open and inspect upon receipt. Once I got home and unpacked the door, I discovered the damage. The door was scratched and dented on a lower panel. Given the door was being used for an outside bathroom and given the fact that to return and re-order would require another three week wait, I decided to install and use the door anyway. I am very disappointed to say the least that for $300 I got defective merchandise.

It was very easy to prepare for and install this pre-hung door and add a Schlage lock and deadbolt. This is a solid product with good insulation. The minor modification we had to make was to chisel out the depth for the dead-bolt plates. Overall a really great purchase.
