A:  No. The head of the nails is not big enough.

    A:  No. The nails are too short and have a small head.

      A:  I don't recommend using it as a roofing nailer. Firstly, because this gun and nails are more expensive than an actual roofing nailer and roofing nails. Secondly because roofing nails have a larger head that prevent the shingle from ripping up in the wind. This gun and nails have smaller sized heads.

        A:  Thank you for your STINGER question. While the 1" nails will technically have the holding power required to hold down shingles, we do not recommend using them for this application. These nails are designed to fit well with a cap and seal in moisture. Without the cap, water is a lot more likely to penetrate into a roof. These nails without a cap will also not meet code in most areas. They have a much smaller head than a standard roofing nail. Thank you for viewing this STINGER product! -Team STINGER

          Giant Time Save
          This saved so much time. Had been using a hammer, but this tool cuts the time down tremendously. Would do another roof without it. Easy to use, easy to load.

          Great roofing gun
          Fantastic little nailer, much smaller size than i expected when i opened it. Reloading the caps and nails is simple and quick, and each roll of caps seems to have 2-3 extra in case you don't sync the nails up first shot, no wasted nails. I went through a case of the nails/caps with zero misfires and only twice where the caps didn't feed properly, but I suspect that was my own fault when i set it down on the tip and allowed the caps to get pushed back slightly. Great little toolbelt clip as well
