      Answer This Question

A:  The 26lbs umbrella is not advice to use it as a free standing umbrella base, this base is to be place under a table or side table. If you are looking for a free standing umbrella base we suggest to purchase a base that is 50lbs or heavier.

        The perfect umbrella stand
I needed an umbrella stand to hold my umbrella while working outside. This one was easy to put together. recently we had some very strong winds and the umbrella did not move. First you have to screw in the base bolt into the umbrella pole. Then you go through your table hole, before putting the pole into the stand. Then you have to put the pole through the tightening cap and the adapter. THEN you tighten the adjustable handle on the pole. .

          The stand works
The stand fits most diameter umbrella poles although I had to trim the inner diameter plastic to get my pole in. The stand sits at standard height under a patio table. The weight is good. I would only say it is overpriced. I paid 46 $ dollar because I needed it. I would say 25-30$ would be a good price.

          Don't buy this base!
This 26# Hampton Bay base is useless for the Hampton Bay 9ft umbrella. A light breeze will topple the umbrella, even when the umbrella is folded down! We bought this base and umbrella last week and in the 3 days we've used it the 9ft umbrella has tipped over 4 times, today falling into the pool striking our grandson. I folded down the umbrella and a little while later it still toppled from a breeze. DON'T EXPOSE YOURSELF AND FAMILY TO THIS WORTHLESS AND DANGEROUS BASE!

This a cleanly designed umbrella stand. Much more attractive to the common concrete stands. Very simple to assemble. The base comes with a set of adapters that allow you to adjust the tube diameter to match your umbrella. No adapter ring for large poles and two rings for medium and small poles. Works well to anchor table-centered umbrellas. Not a wide enough diameter for a free standing umbrella. When I tried using this stand with a free standing umbrella, it was unstable in all but the most gentle breeze. Because we have terra cotta colored decking, I painted the umbrella stand to match the decking. Umbrella stand easily accepted exterior acrylic paint. Overall an

This patio umbrella base by StyleWell is made from a combination of cement and resin . This combination assures that it's sturdy, strong as well as, water and rust resistsnt. Weighing only 26 lbs, it is easier to move if need be, but it is still very stable when holding my umbrella. The base is 13.5 " square and about 2.5 " high, so it takes up a minimum of space under the table and doesn't get in the way of people's feet. The black finish is flawless and goes well with my table and chairs. Assembly was fast and simple with easy-to-follow instructions. There are two adapter sleeves to accommodate the diameter of your umbrella pole. There is a locking mechanism as well as a knob that tightens to hold your umbrella pole securely. The whole process is simple, yet very effective. I think this StyleWell Concrete and Resin Patio Umbrella Base is well-made, looks great and is very sturdy. I am very pleased with this nice-sized umbrella base.
