Nice shade if your looking to gain some privacy and not darken the room but offers very little thermal protection from the outside or inside. The Stylewell light filtering roller shade in Linen fabric comes with all new hardware and cannot be used with the older “snap” shade type mounting hardware so its not a remove and replace there is some mounting required. The mounting hardware is very well done and installs easily and is a bout a 3 out of 10 difficulty with 10 being the most. The side brackets are square drive with male and female sockets so you cannot put it in backwards. The female mounting bracket is hinged which makes putting the shade in or taking it out very easy. This is a slow release shade so it will not snap and wrap up like the older type of shades. The shade itself is not fabric it is a plastic and jute weave and sounds very paper bag-ish when being handled. This is a cut to size product that the HD product overview states “no deductions are made to this blind-the actual width of this blind is the same as the width ordered”. So, I ordered a 32 ½ and got a 31 ½” blind (see photo). So, the shade will be 1” smaller than your measurement to accommodate an inside mount. If you are planning on an outside mount go 1 inch bigger. The cut edge is somewhat tattered, and you can pull fibers out (see photo) . Not real bad but I think they could do a little better in sealing the edge. No valance is included but a bottom hard edge is. Love the hardware, unable to mount due to the wrong size being provided due to confusing statement on product overview, still kind-a pricy for the quality of the cut and feel-sound of the shade. Recommend if you want an on-demand privacy shade that will not darken the room.

The STYLEWELL CUT-TO-SIZE LINEN CORDLESS shade is an average product with Pro's and Cons. It is cut to order so it should fit the window from your measurement. The size was fine. It is light filtering as advertised. It was an easy install on the window. however the "winding" mechanism to set to the right tension could present an issue as its not absolutely clear in the instructions on how to get the right tension. Once up, the shade looks fine...standard look and color goes with about any decor.

Nice looking shade! The 2-tone textured grass cloth on both sides of the shade is a beige that is on the yellower side (rather than a pinkish beige) with ivory, and light-filtering. It feels like it has a clear vinyl coating for protection but doesn’t look like it. It can be wiped clean with soap and water. All trim and brackets are color-matched plastic except a clear plastic pull handle you can snap on. My daughter thinks it should have been color-matched plastic too, but I don’t mind the clear as it is like a bit of jewelry and won’t show dirty hand prints as much. I had it cut for a 34 1/2 in. opening and received a shade that is 33 1/8 in. wide allowing for space for the brackets. Once installed in the brackets, The entire assembly was just 1/8 in. short of the opening’s full width. It was simple to install. I did an inside installation on a window with only 1/2 inch depth no matter which way I attached the bracket (top or back), so I was only able to get one screw into each bracket, but they still hold firmly tucked into the corner. The right bracket has a flange that lifts to open a slot in which to slide the shade pin. The left bracket has the tensioner built into it rather than the shade itself. I found that the tension was fine right out of the box, but you can adjust it by removing the shade and inserting a wand accessory that comes with it into the left bracket and turning it either way. Interesting. I stored that wand in a baggie with the instructions in the linen closet nearby. It’s a bit tricky getting the shade to hold at whatever length you want it down at, but I find that if I angle the shade out toward me as I adjust height, rather than pulling it straight down, then it locks where I want it better. I put it in the bathroom because it is so easy care, and it looks and works great there!

We got this Stylewell cut to size linen cordless light filtering roller shade to hang at our basement egress window. I did not want to see the corrugated metal wall outside of the window, but wanted light to filter in the room. This shade works perfectly. We did have one problem that my husband was finally able to fix. The connection point inside the shade was installed to deeply and could not connect to the bracket. He was able to take out the cap on the opposite end, take out a long spring, and then was able to push the connection part to the right depth. I mention this in case you might have the same problem, you will know it is fixable. I have included a photo showing the deep connection that we were able to adjust. The shade was then easy to install.

I'm very pleased with the Stylewell Linen roller shade that my wife and I recently installed. The linen fabric is very attractive and filters just the right amount of light to shade from the hot sun. The cordless feature is really nice and just a pull on the shade allows it to slowly retract. We have the 72x72 inch shade, but it comes in a variety of widths and can also be cut to size. The brackets are easy to install for either mounting inside the window frame or outside of the frame.

The style well cut-to-size linen cordless light filtering roller shade was exactly what I needed for my patio door. The custom cut size was a perfect fit. The linen fabric is smooth and filters light really well. It looks great from the patio as well. You can see through at night but during day time it provides privacy. The rolling mechanism functions well and so far does what it was intended to do. I am happy with my order.

I needed a shade for my kitchen window since the light just pours through in the mornings and makes the room hot. I wanted something that did not entirely black out the light but reduced some of the heat. This is a great product for exactly that. The shade was so easy to install and was sized perfectly to my specifications. I was very surprised by that. I think it looks great and I may even consider purchasing some for the other rooms in my home that have the same eastern exposure in the morning.

Unable to hang as it is too large for my window, not company fault, it's my own. All the parts for the shade are strong plastic. I'm a little miffed with the cardboard center roll because I live in a high humid city. Not sure how it will hold up over time. Would have been better had it been plastic. The material of the blind feels like rice paper, thin, but sturdy. Has a little texture tot he touch. Seems it will be easy enough to clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. For me this would not work even if it fit my window as I have a broken back; reaching up to spin the lever to roll up / down the shade is not functional. It's GREAT for someone without disabilities as it gets RID of those blasted hanging cords! Looks clean and professional! The color of this shade blends well with the darker colors of my home despite being lighter. It's a "warm" light color of tans, soft whites, beige. Subtle, not an intrusive color.

This is a very nice looking shade, I just wish it was a different color. When reading and looking at the description of the shade in one photo, it looked off white and light colored. When I looked at the photos for a larger size of that same shade, it looked beige. To me, linen is a white/off whiteish color. Since it had all the features I was hoping for, I crossed my fingers and hoped it would be light. It isn't. It's beige. Now color aside, this is a very nice quality shade. The fabric has a nice natural look, allows a nice amount of light in, but gives you complete privacy. It was very easy to put up. If the shade has lost some of the tension to help it move up easily, it comes with a crank that helps you adjust the tension quickly and easily. The end caps for the bottom of the shade have a little extension that allows the shade to fall in a straighter line from the top. Everything is nicely color coordinated.

I chose the 37 inch wide by 72 inch long which is flawless on edges because I didn't want to have to get it cut at Home Depot to fit after looking at the fabric. I can see how cutting it would cause the edges to fray. The fabric is a good as a light filtering shade. The instructions are limited since they put them on one page of paper and the details needed are not here. It is difficult to adjust the shade based on the one page instructions included. With this you have maybe 1/18 of an inch adjustment to get it to fit. The easiest way to mount is is to get some one to mark the edges with a sharp pencil while you hold it in place before attempting to predrill your hloe for the wood screws. If you use any other width than 37 inches and have to get it cut you may be disapointed.
