A:  maybe a couple of feet...power cord is not that long...... No, it can't be hard wired Yes, the burners are removable I forgot but the specifications indicated the opening required

A:  I don't have it right in front of me, but I would guess the cord is about 3 ft long, I would assume you could hardwire it if you really wanted to, I am guessing the manufacturer is going to say not to and I don't know if you could hire an electrician to do it. You would probably just need to make sure you have the correct size gauge wire and then make the connections in the appropriate place. Honestly though if you were going to do that, it would probably be just easier to install an electrical outlet under the cabinet where you intend to put the cooktop, then you would not void any warranties and such. Burners come out for cleaning or to be replaced, this is another reason why I got it versus a flat ceramic top. Easier to replace the burners if you ever needed to. The cut out needs to be 20 x 16, the unit just fits into this with a little overhang. I had to sand the edges of the cutout a bit as it was nice and tight. A:  I bought this last year and the work well still. I forget how long the cord is but it can be hard wired if you know what you’re doing. If you look at the specs on the detail page it will tell you the dimensions.
